what tip for an OB-1 shaft

I'm hoping someone knows the answer here. I have an OB-1 shaft that has a Kamuii black supersoft. It plays good but feels like mush. I also have a D2 shaft that has the same tip on it and I can draw so much easier with the D2 with the exact same stroke.
Does anyone know if this is because of the combination of shaft and tip? If so, what tip is supposed to go on the OB-1.

They come stock with an Everest tip which is made by Tiger.

I've tried Moori's amd Kamui's as well as Snipers and I personally prefer the Kamui's. However mine was a medium/hard I believe. The Everest also felt good to me, but I supposed the best way to find out is to try a few yourself. Only trouble is with these layered tips, it can get a bit expensive to try them all.

the ob is a softer hitting shaft due to the wood ferrule and foam core, so i find that a harder tip, "pingier" tip works best. I like a good pressed LePro or a WB tip.

I've always just played with the Everest that came on the OB1's, and I think they're a real good fit. Recently installed a Kamui Black SS on one of my OB1's, and I think it's a bit too soft a combo, too. I'm going to replace it with a Kamui Black Soft, and I expect to like that pretty well. Better than Everest?... I don't know. I guess it'll depend on performance, consistency & longevity at that point - none of which have been a problem with the Everest tips anyway.
Comes down to what you can play with one way or the other.

I play with the Everest tip that came with the OB-1. If anything it draws too much compared to most regular shafts. Takes awhile to get use to, or it did for me. Johnnyt

my buddy rex turned me onto triumph tips (a real good soft tip) and andy gilbert got me addicted to WB tips (a medium/hard tip)

that's what i'd choose from if i were you. for a while i liked using talisman tips but i've had too many fall apart on me to recommend them anymore

thanks guys. I guess I'll change the tip to something harder and see what happens. My D2 with the black SS draws like crazy and has a great feel but I don't want to not give the OB a proper try.

The Tiger Everest from Sniper feels good on the OB-1 for me. Played also with a Kamui Medium-and felt almost the same. With both of em no problems like mushroomed etc. I worked on the tip exactly one time when i shaped it a bit down because i don t like it if it s too big.

I had an OB1 shaft that I put a Sniper tip on and it played great. I ended up selling the OB1 shaft because it was matched to a cue that I sold and I went back to using Predator 314-2 shafts with Kamui Black "S" tips. I've heard from other players that the Kamui Black "SS" tips have a mushy feel, but the "S" tips feel great to me.

I played with the everest for awhile. Last month I got a new tip and I had a wizard put on. I really like this tip.

I played with the Everest that came with my OB1 for 3 months, and REALLY didnt like the tip?....turns out it de-lammed and popped off! I installed a Talisman "M" and I have not looked back!.....BUT...I have put a Talisman "M" on every shaft I own...I just REALLY like the tip!
