What towns or citys are starved of pro pool?

The Northwest is by far the most pro tourney starved. Most every other portion of the U.S. at some point has a pro tourney/cue expo/large turnout. Only the pro women come to the Northwest for a tourney. I think Seattle would be a great place as there is a big following in the NW for pool. BCA/APA/ACS leagues are everywhere and amateur players would flock to a pro tourney if it was advertised correctly with flyers distributed by all league operators to their players. Now I am in CA so I would not benefit, but I always thought Seattle would be a good venue.

I have been making contact with a quite a few rooms in most of the locations you have all mentioned I will post the list of the towns I am working on. In some cases the rooms don't have much money but alot of them want to hel any way they can. I will let you all know by the end of the day and you can feel free to add places or advice for the places. Thanks again for all your help.

Seattle/Tacoma and also Portland/ Vancouver.Russian Dave's(not politically correct-i think its named The Golden Fleece?),D.R. Cues and Uncle Jacks for the Seattle area.Malarky's(formerly City Lights) for Tacoma.I dont know what rooms for Portland Oregon area but the NW is starved for anything pro....

We're starved out here alright. Russian Dave's in Kenmore or Dr. Cues in Lake City would be good candidates to host such an event.

They could then head south to manwons place in Tacoma, and then to Classic Billiards in Portland,
and then to Cue Ball in Salem.

Mn

Minnesota has had male and female pro tourney's in the past, but absolutly nothing in about the last ten years. Some decent local tournaments, but nothing close to being pro caliber. Some great pool rooms and a lot of players in the area.

I see they have a silly claim of best copper town when in reality it's in the U.P. of Michigan. ;) Oh, and all of Michigan is starved for any kind of pool.

Please shoot me an email at cantrillmark@yahoo.com in the subject header please put Possible tour stops, thanks again to everyone for all the great ideas. We have a 4 or 5 right now committed for the 12 stop tour. the tour incvludes a pool school in the dat and a exhibition/challenge the spectators/challenge match. Lots of fun.

I think anyplace, even the big cities, would enjoy having some big names come into towns and give a clinic. Archer , Efren, Bustamonte in New York would go over just as big as anyplace. But, it has to be affordable. The big clinic that was the talk of this board recently with Efren and company could sell anywhere if affordable. I would try hard to raise the cash, but $1500 for a weekend is beyond my reach.

The clinic with Archer and Strickland for $200 for a day could sell more quickly in my opinion.

I want the experience of learning something from these guys. It would be fun and education. I think a weekend for $400-500 would be affordable.

This sounds like a great idea. Good luck. Let me know if you are coming to New Jersey.

I bet Cut-N-Shoot, Texas (there's a pool-soundin' name if'n I ever heard one) is hankerin' fer a pool hall!!!

i'm sure you would draw a really good crowd in dallas, tx. You could try the Billiard Den (thebilliardden.com) for a large venue or clicks billiards i'm sure would love to host. we don't get too many pro's coming through. Incardona does play here though.

I would second... Dallas
