What type of big table do you prefer?

You don't practice pocket pool or maybe no pocket pool on top of your Diamond? Hell I was getting my cameraa ready for a road trip. :(

I'm sorry T. That's just nasty.
That's why women don't go to pool halls. They just don't get respect.

For someone who is serious about pool, I would get the pro cut Diamond Pro table. Even better if Marissa comes with it.

Sorry Joey,

I must be getting brainwashed by Marissa just like Jude. I think it's a mental self defence mechanism kicking in to protect me from Billy Jays brainwashing. :D

Terry ( still visualiizing Marissa laying Languidly on a 9 ft. Diamond)

Oh....I think I would prefer a heated Gabriel ( and so would Marissa in my visualization)

I was wondering what big table other players prefer.
Diamonds or Brunswick?

for a poolhall, gold crowns...your average player doesn't want to miss balls all day on a diamond pro cut

Thank you for your feedback. We are looking at opening a new pool hall and Diamond has a lot of nice benefits when buying tables, but there are a lot of good deals on used Gold Crowns too.

No law says you have to have the all the same tables. Where I play they have GC's, Diamonds as well as some old Brunswicks. It makes the place interesting and you can pick up many of those older tables at good prices. I would not think twice of opening a place with a mix of high quality tables.

You are right about the rails Willie. That's why I had my Diamond rerailed with Brunswick Superspeed.
Diamond did not install premium rubber cushions when they first introduced their table. After a few years the rubber hardened and played "very dead". Now they use Artemis rubber cushions with a K55 profile which is pretty much the industry standard by which other cushions are judged. Not sure but I believe Brunswick is installing Artemis cushions on their Gold Crown. Both tables are great, and made with much more precision than the shooting precision of even the greatest players so you win buying either....I like the Diamond.

I have a Diamond Pro cut. A new pool hall opened in town with all new GC IV's and there is no comparison. The GC has much larger pockets, will take a ball that hits the rail much higher than the Diamond, has cushions that are far too lively and has the metal tops on the pockets that tend to scratch the cue.

The Diamond is much more a professional table and is much more of a challange to play on. You have to hit the ball right in order to make the shot. No gifts. But fair. No shimming of the pockets.... the cushions are cut correctly.

Do it right the first time and get Diamonds. Buy the one's they play on at the Open for a discount. A big bonus is that the company was built by, owned and staffed by pool players and is small enough to provide real service direct from the factory.

I'll take any that roll true and don't have buckets for pockets.

Preferrably GCIV or Diamond but any of the above would be just fine.
