What would be the perfect tiebreaker?

Best break set, best lags set, best season "won by" record, mini spelling bee, mini SAT, wet t-shirt contest...
Mandatory single 14.1 inning - run before the tourney in case of ties. Matter of fact all tie breakers could be performed before the tournament including drawing lots.

The best tiebreaker is no tiebreaker. Situations where it is one rack for the match are as exciting as it gets in our sport, and to take that away cheapens it.

Any tiebreaker that tests less than the full complement of skills needed to win will not be fair, as it favors some players over others.

If there must be a tiebreaker with predetermined shots, there should be a position play requirement on those shots, as well, to bring at least one more element of skill into the proceedings.

And the best way to accomplish this is to eliminate the two set races to four and just play a simple race to whatever amount of games the rules dictate (imo, preferably at least eleven games). First player to eleven wins the match.

How simple is that???

I don't mind the short sets. Best of five races to 3 is a fair match that will have some very exciting ebbs and flows. If the Mosconi Cup has taught us anything, it's that short races can be electrifying.

I guess this is in reference to the 2 set race to 5 match........Easy fix....ad a 3rd set....Lag for break...race to 2 or 3
