What would you buy with upto $900 right now?

just bought a samsung 50" plasma for $700 at HHGreggs opening sale. believe me for that money you got a lot of tv equivalent to those @ $14/15 hundred. i've been looking and comparing for 18months (thats right, crazy huh) and when this came by i couldnt get my money out fast enough. model number pn 50b450b. or buy the most excellent cloth now while you have the money. put it aside till your ready to move the table and reset it up.

If you in san fran the terminator is outlawing any tv's over 40 inches! Due to energy conservation!

GOLD COINS! Your gonna need'em. The dollar shall fall soon. You can barter with gold.

Did that years ago (and few more here and there over the last couple of years), and they've risen in value (and will continue to) VERY nicely! But then again, I have a tube tv that I'm watching the World Series on, so I'm not "in" when it comes to that kinda thing

I think I will get a lesson tomorrow from Ray Martin.

I will also buy a predator shaft on here if I can find a used one with a 5/16 joint with silver ring at fair price ($150) in great condition, $100 is used condition.

I purchased the measels QB today. Not much else I can think of buying atm that I need.

Don't forget to accessorize

Paypal me $60 and I will mail you a box full of cool stuff to have.
The joint protectors will fit your buska and you can pick your color chalker.

A 600 dollar John Parris snooker cue with 200 dollars worth of extensions and a case. With the extra 100 that would be left over I would buy delta rack.

This may surprise you but I'd buy some medical Mary Jane for a friend with progressive M.S. He's a dear friend and nothing else helps. Here in Wisconsin it not legal but I would take the risk for him if I could. I'm out of the loop so I can't help. Second choice would be to help someone in need perhaps even a animal shelter. I'd like to help all the people I've met who are about to lose their homes also but I'm cash poor but better off then most. FYI, my wife also has M.S. but I took a oath, "till death due we part and I'm not going anywhere." I'm a Vet, 67-70, USMC and looking at helping at the V.A. as painfull as it might be.
God Bless America.

I have some money and am sick of paying bills and never buying anything for myself, since I haven't spent my money on myself in a while and want to have some fun I decided I'm going to buy at least one thing.

So what would you buy that is UP to $900? If its only $100 thats cool too, just looking for suggestions.

So far the things I'd love to buy is some simmonis cloth for my table.. But the problem is since it has bad corners )room it's in is too small) and I only use it to practice runs, practicing cut shots, stuff like that I can't really justify purchasing that. I might just move the table at Christmas time and get the cloth as a present. We'll see.

So I thought what else could there be that I would enjoy and came up with either a Predator shaft for my adams bushka. I have two low end cues so I could get a new one but I think mine both hit just fine for me.

What would you buy right now if you had upto $900 to blow on stuff you've wanted? Just looking for ideas and to see what other people's dream list/interests are right now

Of course I'd buy myself a JB Case. I am using a Sterling Wave case now and am saving up for a JB Custom. ;-)

I'd buy a mezz axi-n with an alpha shaft. then i'd use the rest of the cash for table time

I love the lessons idea. Having said that, how about a new shaft ? That new Lambros shaft ? about 215 or so. Besides that, rub the buffalo off that money! Best of fortune with your cash.
regards,
tim

What's the deal with the lambros shaft?

I'd go snowboarding! Maybe find some action, for the practice.

Now there's a good idea. after i bought that axi-n i'd buy all the 2010 us open dvd's and then i'd see if i could find some action. i don't play that good so finding a game would be pretty easy

Good choices

If your looking for agreement, you've got it from me. I love my 314 shaft. I've said it before the only problem in owning one is you like them so much that you feel the need to own a backup.

You're going the right way in just getting the shaft vs. the shaft/butt. Understand that the 314 reduces cue ball squirt. I never saw increased engllish. It just required less adjustment for squirt. At close range with less the a tip of side english I don't compendate for squirt. My adjustment time was about 1/2 hour. Some people never adjust and give them up.

FWIW, I had a brand new 314 shaft sent to a cuemaker here (Blackheart) and Jer matched the shaft up with a butt of my choosing. It looks nice, it's unique to me and it's a 314.

I wish you luck with it.

Ray Martin lesson is perfect. Not sure how it works with Ray but obviously try to get it on tape.

Two great ideas

best regards...........Paul

Some very good answers in the thread.. The best one being if you have a good cue and such already just hang onto it.

But if your like me you like to spend. So..... I would use it to buy a GOOD case for the Gilbert I will be having made soon..

Jimmy Reid's "Almost everything I know DVD series of pool instruction" or Joe Villapondo's collection of pool instructional videos. You already know about Perfect Aim by Geno.

Joe, I use your pool tips every time I go to the table. Jimmy, you DA MAN!
'Nuff said about Geno.

I just bought a canon slr 1000 of off flea bay for 599.95 with all sorts of extras.
A great deal if you want great pics.

Ok here you go, I would buy all the lessons I could with Buddy Hall I could get. He is going to be in Florida this month doing commentary for something that they are having down there. I forgot what city and the event because I don't live in Florida. I saw what it did for Monica Webb's game. She went from Allison Fisher Door mat to Queen of the Ball. I know in my heart that it would be money well spent. Then armed with that knowledge I would set about getting my money back from all the suckers that did not take lessons from the true King of 9 ball.
