What would you do here?

leave cue behind the 6,9,3 wall and 3 rail the one ball on the defense. if opponent misses the good hit, pretty easy 1,9 combo.

Can't quite tell if the 1 goes past the 7, if so it seems like a doable run out. If not, the previous post is probably a good option.

This situation came up last night in the local tournament for me. Diamond barbox. Score doesn't really matter IMHO on this one. What would you do here, and why? (playing 9 ball)

Think I might play the 1 off the back side of the 7 and draw back for a shot on the deuce. If the 1 misses, it most likely goes two rails off the 7 giving you the 5, 6, or 9 for cover. I could totally see myself getting unlucky and making the 7 and hooking myself on the 1, though.

I'd probably draw the cue ball toward the two ball and hide him behind the wall of balls. Why not? I like to get BIH!

I'd try a two way shot with a ticky off of the seven ball drawing back for position on the 2 ball. If the ticky doesn't work the one should be near the far corner and the cue ball behind the wall of balls.

I think the safety would work, however you need to be careful where you leave the one because the two only has 2 pockets open. Doesn't make much sense to pocket the one if you can't get to the 2.

I'd probably do something like this. Push the 1 behind the 5 incase you get in the window.

Yep! Just what I was thinking. Just more on the hooking side of things!

Hi,
After seeing a few of these from Neil, I'm guessing he went offensive.
Myself? Easy safety.

That's what I would have tried.

Bring the CB behind the 3,6,9 and push the 1 up just past the 7
