With the higher stakes comes more detailed, longer negotiations, which results in fewer matches. There may be the same amount of $$$ in action, just spread among fewer games.
Five years ago, a big game was $2-3k/game 1P and $250-500/game 9B at Shooters. Now, the negotiations are starting at $5-10k a set.
