im wondering whats the best way to get rid of my cue?
i posted it for sale twice on here, its a predator 3k7 with a first gen. z shaft. cue is nice, plays great - im just into a different look. I've always played with a predator shaft, so my concern is more with the looks and the build of the cue. Im trying to find a more traditional cue but i need to unload this cue first. The cue retailed in the $900-1100 range but i was only asking around 500 as is. It has a minor crack in the butt cap - which was sealed and doesnt affect play, but i spoke to predator customer service and it will cost only $90 to fix and refinish below the wrap and ship back. Is there anyone out there who might be interested in this cue? i would sell the butt seperate if thats all you want or ill sell the whole cue. Im def. interested in trades but id like someone local (in the new england area) as i have never done a trade on here before.
thanks for your time!

Predator cues are lill harder to sell on this forum unless u post them for a ridiculously low price.I would suggest u can post it on ebay.:embarrassed2:

Unfortunately the bottom line is it's a production cue. On this site there's alot of custom cues in this 500 dollar range. For a tad more you can get a nice custom cue. Predator is a great cue and have owned some myself in the past. I think you just need to realize that with the damage and not having any feedback on here is going to hurt your chances of selling it. There are tons of these cues out there. Send me some pics to cpredith@charter.net and I'll post them for ya.

thanks, ill take some tonight

would i be better off just selling the butt at a really low price?? and keeping the shaft?

thanks monte

im not a big fan of ebay though... what is your opinion on a low price for this cue??

The 3k7 retailed for around $900. A dealer would have gotten it at wholesale for around $450-500, new.

Your Predator is used and required a $90 repair plus shipping, time delay, etc.

Your pricing would need to take both of the above into account.

Many folks on AZB are dealers for various production cues, which is why the bulk of the transactions here involve custom cues. There is just no financial reason to pay wholesale price or more for a used, damaged cue.

I would have to agree with the guys above where production cues
like Predator and Joss are a lot harder to sell right now. I would
definitely be looking at customs over production in that $ 500 range.
I believe that many are thinking in the same manner. Personally, I've
never liked the rounded CNC points that are on the production cues.
I almost bought a JossWest until I noticed that the outside point had
a rounded corner. I pulled up right there and then, and thats a custom!
Now this is just me, but I believe that customs are just that much
easier to sell right now if you needed to, and I also believe that if and
when the cue marked turns around, you'll get a better rate of return
on a custom. I may be totally wrong here, but its my .02. Good luck
with your sale.

thanks and i tottally agree with the whole custom cue thing. i myself would much rather buy a custom cue, but i know there are some people out there who are in love with the predator production cues.
i guess im better off holding on to the cue, or maybe packaging it with some cash in a trade

1 The price

2 production

3 damaged

4 there are a lot of non productions cues selling around the same price

5 there are a lot of other cues not selling.

Unless it is something really desireable and reasonable in price it will not move. Look at all of the raffles. They would not be doing that if the cue was able to sell for what they want.

You may have to bite the bullet and sell it at a real loss or just keep it for a backup, a beater, a break cue, or even a guest cue.

If nothing else put it up for money in a game.
