What's your choice...............Belly or Back?

Here's a couple of gorgeous beauties, if I do say so myself, that I just finished up.
The first case is a 2x4 Envelope Style case made of Crocodile Back in a very elegant honey brown color.
The Back of the crocodile is probably the hardest leather to work with not to mention sew. We broke many many needles getting this case put together and got many blisters just from cutting the hides with heavy duty snips but the result was well worth it.

The second case is a 2x4 Flip Lid Case made of Alligator Belly in a beautiful semi-glossy black.
We were able to cut the body of the case in its entirety from a very big alligator hide. Cases just look better when you don't have to seam pieces together unfortunately when you work with some exotic leathers you don't have a choice.

I hope you enjoy what we at Castillo Leather Goods have made and as always your feedback is welcomed.

Belly, how much for that little beauty?

Why am I the Colonel? Because I always get the chicken

Belly

That case is gorgeous, do not misunderstand they both are but I prefer the belly.

These are truly exotic! The horn back case is what Indiana Jones should use when he walks into a pool hall!

Hey Gil....the belly leather is the better version......if I had seen this case, it would have been the version you made for me in a 6x12.......gorgeous leather.
Besides, alligators & crocodiles are abundant as a species so there's no environmental issues linked with the source for the leather used in these pool cases.
