What's Your Dream Full Splice Cue?

I like flame colors.

Or something like this:

Very clean work with good contrasts.

Or like this:

Those colors are great, too:

I met with Larry Vigus and saw full spkice bridge points with butterfly
points as well

He discussed approaching this like 360

This is my dream cue and I ordered one

I can not help but think that you guys will agree with me when I post pictures'

Larry Vigas is now in the top tier,at least as good as the other greats
John Nemic in Dallas makes perfect full splice

Jake Hulsey does fantastic work too

My dream full splice is a bridged point 360 by Larry. I ordered mine first.

Larry is doing just fine in defining a solid future for himself. He doesn't nedd my mis speleded name as a compearison. He's arguably already beyond my league

Jake it's ok. Dean spells everyone's last name incorrectly. Both, you and Larry, are doing excellent work. I would love to see those butterfly cues when they are finished.

So much for enjoying the super bowl. Guess I need to be in the shop workin!

Larry Vigas will soon be in the class with Jake Hulcey and the other greats

And he is a nice guy, always enjoy looking at his cues. Since Deanoc promoted you Larry, go on and take the evening off and watch that football thing.

Well.....

Larry, Jake, Dimitry, since you guys have been posting in this thread, what do you think about buckeye burl into am ebony nose, or cocbolo burl into an ebony nose? I prefer firm hitting cues so I don't know if burls produce that same firm hit. This will be an uncored cue. I've got a Koa cue and never noticed much in the way of "harmonics" in the hit, but I'd be interested in feedback on that as well. I also realize coco burl is tough to find, but if I do, how does it play?
Thanks for chiming in-Ryan

If you are set on not coreing, stay away from burls & anything highly figured. Ebony will give you the hard hit you are asking about. Pairing it with curly hard maple or Birdseye makes a nice looking cue. Lightly figured maple should be ok uncored. As allways past performance does not guaranty future results. Your mileage may very.

Larry

Coco and ebony would make for a great workout while playing. Uncored the butt will come in around 19+oz by its self

Jake Hulcy
is that right?

Vigas is right isn't it?

both guys do better at making cues than i do spelling

That's exactly wrong, but thanks for playing Dean! ;) Yes I was asking for Jake and Larry's guidance.

U didn't think all this fame, fortune and groupies came without cost did u?

Who u calling groupies now?? He gave me those T-shirts and i swear someone came into my house and stole every other t-shirt i own...

Those I :smiling-heart: Vigus T-shirts works wonders in Bars...

Buckeye burl is trash wood...needs a monster core. DBK does full splice in its purest form. Unfortunately the way he has to cut the pieces it would surely explode most every piece he tries. If you will notice most every wood he uses is pretty dense and straight grained and even then it's dangerous as hell.

If I did that I'd hit the power feed and run in the other room

While I don't know much about different construction techniques when it comes to full splices I can say that I absolutely love my DBK.

Second cue I've added to my never for sale area of cues. I can't believe how little credit he gets...
