Whats Your Favorite Pool Cue Case Size?

I have a 3x7 and a 2x4. I normally travel with 2x4 for the reason you mentioned. Sometimes I'd bring the 3x7 just to fit all the equipments in (ie. 2 break shafts; one phenolic-based and one leather-based, jump shaft, and 2 player shafts).

Diggin' it...

I play with only 1 cue that has 1 shaft alone, so a solid 1 x 1 case for this ol' dog here and it's a sweet classic steel McDermott tube case with the wooden end caps. I love my case!

I have a 3x6 that carries 3x4 and it's a but much because I carry it around at school along with my backpack. In retrospect I rarely use the third cue and would be better off with a 2x4.

I got a 2x3 that is right for me- 2 playing shafts and a j/b cue.

I also use a soft case, crammit full of the above, I do.

Either a 1/2 or 2x4 for traveling. The 1x2 when I'm just taking a cue with me on a business trip and want to knock some balls around after work. Just easier to pack. The 2x4 if I'm thinking of getting into action. It holds a playing cue w/2shafts, break cue w/1 shaft; jump shaft; and jump butt in one of the pockets.

I have a 4x4, with only 3 cues in it right now. I don't even need to carry the third cue, as I never use it, but I do like having it so I can make my own bridge with the moosehead I carry. (Since my third cue is mostly black, it doesn't look like a house cue, and people all over the room won't necessarily come grabbing for it, in the few rooms that I need to set up my own bridge.) I suppose it will be nice to have a spare playing cue, or at least a spare shaft, in the event that the tip on my player gets damaged in the middle of a match.

Before I got this case, I wondered what I'd need the second, bigger pocket for. Now I wish it had a bit more pocket room, like pockets all the way down the side. Something to look for whenever I decide to get a different one.

Sorry.

got any pics? that sounds like a sweet looking case

Not yet, but I might take some to show it off when I'm done reconditioning it. It's bare metal right now. Going to have it redone in a sweet fresh leather as soon as my lazy butt gets to it! :grin-square: Right now it's not beautiful, but it's got history man and that makes it priceless to me!

Currently have a 2X4 but thinking about going back to a 2X2. I don't like the extra weight.

I like to have my:

Playing cue with 2 shafts.
Breaking cue with 1 shaft.
and my jump cue with 1 shaft.
and a handful of gadgets...and my eyeglasses...

I currently carry a 2x4 Instroke Buffalo, though it's pretty heavy.

I recently bought a Barton 3x4, but it's supposed to be very light weight...so I think I'll be using it for the next few years...can't wait to get it...
