I would go 2 rails into the back side of the 2 ball. Sending the 2 ball up near the five and trying to get the cue ball behind the 7.
I wouldn't like my chances though.

I don't believe blackballed idea is quite there. Close, but won't work. To hit the 2 thin enough to barely move the 9, the cb will go a lot farther than the two will. So, you can't place the cb where you showed. To get the cb there, you have to hit the 2 either much softer, which means the 2 won't get a rail, or, you have to hit the 2 much fuller to kill the cb, which means the 9 is moving much more than shown.
Good initial idea though. That is one of the things I spent so long looking at.
