When to draw the line with cue maker?

After 6 years I’d ask what he had available and take it. Cue makers (some) have a long waiting list. Southwest last I knew 12 yrs, Herchek 10 yrs, Mike Bender, a friend was 4 yrs. I also was told by a friend Mike was closing his book. I haven’t asked him but makes sense.

Reasonable, fair, and honorable? He is none of those things. Maybe at one time when his business was under control, but if you see this situation as OK I just don't understand you.
You’re very wrong of course. You have no idea but go ahead with any nonsense you like. Lol.

Mean while you are a dealer thats sold how many eddies cues in 6 years and a customer cant get a cue build in that frame time. Goes to show how its all about the making of cash not only for Eddie but you especially! Needs be a half medium there between makers cues to dealers & customers or simple, dealers get herd cut back and no new customers for builds. To many orders is bad business! None sence wait that long for a cue when coins are taken from people. I escaped that that trap years ago no more! why production cues are making more sence after years collecting and selling.

16 month delivery time is even more self explanatory.

Deposits, even non-refundable, are still subject to the contract stipulations. The cuemaker was in breach of the agreement when he took more than the quoted time. An honorable man would refund the money
Seems painfully simple doesn't it? SMH

When honorable men like Martin stand up for this shit because it's their friend, their own honor slips a bit. Friends don't enable friends to act poorly. They talk turkey to them or what good are they as a friend?

Yes it's very simple indeed. There is really no grey area.

Cuemaker holds a customer hostage, then points at the "non-refundable" clause to enforce his own bad behavior?

Eddie makes enough money to cough up the 900 and then he never has to finish the cue he doesn't want to build anyway, but instead he high hands the customer

Why would you defend that?

Ok, i knuckled under, I accepted his terms to either lose my 900 bucks or just have the cue completed and pay for it in whole (I asked when It would be ready, but no answer) The communication is slow unless it's about his money it would seem.

I told him to finish the cue and give me a time frame when it will be done.

Anybody wanna buy a cheap Cohen cue? :)
I’ll give you $901.
