When you're not playing Pool, what do you do?

I'm retired, but my wife is not. I play pool an average of 4-5 hrs a day. Then I do all the cooking, housework, help with shopping, and anything else that needs to be done around the house. When I worked she treated me like a King, now I treat her like a Queen. I even bring her breakfast in bed Sat and Sun morning. I know, I know, Im whupped. And I love it. Johnnyt

I deal drugs Monday thru Friday from 11am till 3pm and then I repair cues or build a few sneakies if the weather is cool. Play APA 9 ball on Thursdays practice on Wenesday and run two tournaments at Rack'em on Friday and Saturday. I only get to touch my own 9 foot Diamond pro a few times a week to try out a cue or new tip job, and spend way to much time buying cues and stuff on AZ forums.

Not kidding about drug dealing, I deliver prescriptions for a local pharmacy and you have to love the hours.--Leonard

I retired from being an auto technician for 36 years thanks to workmans comp insurance.

Oh and can't forget I have been happily married 29 years today to my love Victoria (captain of the APA 9 ball team)and we have a daughter 18 years old who still lives at home thank God.

I retired six years ago. My day doesn’t start until 9- 11 AM. Coffee with the wife for an hour or so, then swim for a while. May take the motorcycle out for a run. Usually I play around the house for a few hours on some DIY project or paint in oils, read, get on the net, play online poker and have friends over to play pool – whenever they are not working.

Retirement – I love it.

Indian Trail, if I remember right thats only a few miles from where Andrew Jackson was born and grew up. I read in his museum that he was a billiard player and even bought his own table for the white house.

You got that correct

I am about ten miles or so from his old homeplace and it is a look at hard times for sure, he grew up in rough but great times compared to now.--Leonard

Have you painted anything "billiard" related?

After reading your post, I am thinking "green" about right now. Does that mean anything from a psychological point of view?

I'm a wino--- literally. I love buying different kinds of wines and visiting wineries whenever I travel someplace new.

I'm also into flying remote control ducted-fan jet airplanes.

I paint landscapes or nudes and have not done anything pool related but now that you mention it that might be a good idea. I never saw the two as related. Hmm have to think about that. Usually it is about coming up wih a subject I like and then taking a few months to execute it. Now you got my head working -- Thanks -- I think.

BTW my post was intended to make you a little "green." We only get so many years and the last few belong to the person so I would like to see every one retire early. I have a friend who was diagnosed with prostrate cancer and had an operation that put it into remission about a year ago. He still thinks he does not have enough money to retire.

Why can't people understand that the clock is ticking?

Whew! I'm glad it was intentional but I don't need too much motiviation. Thanks anyway.

Thinking about your passion for painting nudes and your passion for pool, I can only think about you (me) painting a nude of Milla Jovovich on a green felted pool table. Good luck with that. If you need some help with some mental visualization just give me a call. Whoa, I've got to slack up on the Vitamin B-12 and B-Complex.

First and foremost, I spend time with my wife and kids and have fun with them.

If they are not around, I put on a red cape and mask and run around the house pretending I am saving the world from the forces of evil. :)

I used to play a lot of golf, but being layed off for last 4 months put a serious dent in that. Spending a lot of time on the computer lately in the mornings until the pool room opens now. Also spend a lot of time with my 1 year old grandson. Football season is starting up and I love football.
