Where are AzBilliards.com T-shirts?

Thank You Jerry

Alright then! We'll do it! I just spent some time online searching for sources and know I can get high-quality collared cotton golf (polo) shirts for about $21 each. So would you guys pay $23-$25 for these plus shipping? I imagine we could just mail them out for $3-$5 each. It will take about ten days to get these made and I guess I would start with an order for about two dozen in each size?

T-shirts are a bit tougher. There are about three million places to get them and many of them are rife with customer complaints. I need a place in Northwest Georgia so I can go pick them up and save the shipping costs. Looks like these in a quality product might run us $10-$12 each. Would you let us mark these up $2 each? Plus a couple bucks shipping?

Should we do both T's and polos or just the polos? I really like the added class of the collared shirt.

I have the design talents of a skewered frog. What I imagine is just "AZBilliards" on the left chest area. A royal blue shirt with gold embroidered text. No, I will not do silk-screen printing on the polos. It just looks cheap to me to do that. I would silk-screen the T's.

I would prefer to do small runs at first. While those on this thread seem eager to buy, the real market for these may be smaller than this thread implies and I do not want to have a cellar full of shirts.

Y'all let me know what you think. If you need more room than the PM's allow just email me at: jerry@azbilliards.com

OH! And for the poster who asked if he could do some shirts for himself, go right ahead. We appreciate the love!

Thanks Gang!

I agree on the collared polo - they are comfortable to play in, look good and many venues require collared shirts. Most players wear black pants so any color should be fine (white - not so much - too easy to stain) $25 for a quality shirt is reasonable plus $5 for shipping.

I do still want my original idea of an Avatar shirt. I could get it done locally but thought it would be something that the AZers would like.
Good idea the get the T-shirts locally as you can also check the quality of the shirts - so many are just really cheap and look terrible after only a few washings. I have found that 50-50 cotton/poly hold up the best. I think $15 for a "specialty" T-shirt is also reasonable.

SO - do you want to check out your area for the T-shirts then post a "Who Wants AZB Shirts?"[ thread or post a thread first to get a response before looking ?

(I want 2 of each)

Thanks,
Fran

I certianly have no problem with AZ making a few dollars off the shirts it is worth it to help keep the site running and for all that Jerry and Mike do to keep us up to date on pool news ... I would also love to have a couple of these .... Please keep us informed.

I think you guys should be able to get $20 a tee shirt shipped without a problem, the only thing is having a nice design on the front, the lettering I would like to see big,not just a little logo over the chest. :)

I can get screen printing in one color for $6.00 for standard sizes and $7.00 for xxxxxx sizes. This does include screen printing and gilden shirts.

My personal opinion on communication...

When I was on an APA league,we had an internet site make our team shirts, do you think it's ok to have two made for me and not for sale that say "I'm on azbilliards.com"? I don't wanna go to prison, anyone know who to ask on this matter? Thanks....Ron

My personal opinion.....

Do you ever use the name of the forum when you SPEAK to others? If so, it should be okay to make your own shirt saying you're on the forum. As long as you're not using it to make money. It's a form of visual speech (communication).

That's my opinion and if the forum doesn't like people telling others they are on the forum, they need to let us know about it, so we can keep the name quiet and nobody else will want to join, because it would be a big secret that is not allowed to be talked about. BUt, isn't that illegal.... to not allow freedom of speech and to control what a person can and cannot speak to others or write to others?

I would think if someone wanted to say AZB was the greatest forum on earth, or they are a member of..., or even to say how awful a place it is... as long as they're not lying about something, it should be okay. How many of the members on this forum have said things (good or bad) about eBay, or a cuemaker, a store, a brand of pool table, a pool hall, etc.. How many got sued over it?

If AZB doesn't want you to use their name to share with others that you are a part of it, I don't think they want you to be a part of it. As long as you're not claiming anything false, it should be okay. If I want to make a t-shirt that says I love the NY Giants and I'm only making it for me, they better not give me any grief over it. If I make a shirt that says I own the NY Giants, or that they screwed me out of a million bucks, but that isn't true, I'd be expecting some real trouble.

Now, that's just my opinion... I'm not an attorney and not giving legal advice. Just sharing my opinion on the matter.

I got one. I won the keychain design contest so I already had that design. I have a connection so I had some screen printed. I wasn't really happy with the quality of the CafePress stuff. I got the go ahead to make some for myself and I had some made up for AZHousePro too. Here's the results. I could make a PDF of the design for people to use if he says it's OK.

Ron,
What printing process was used on these shirts that you had printed with the AZ Billiards logo? Spot color or process color? Screen, ink jet or transfer? The green is VERY vivid for anthing except spot color screen printing. Good job.

Thanks,

Yeah, the front should be a super large table vertically placed so that when you are trying to describe a shot to someone who wasn't there, you can just point to the place on your chest where the balls lay. You can always throw in a little body English to express how difficult the shot was.

Jerry,
A couple of questions:
1. What is the brand name of the collared shirts you have in mind & what material is the shirt made of? The brand name is typically on the inside collar of most shirts.
2. You are talking about EMBROIDERY for the logo on the collared shirts, correct? I like embroidery but if you have a design you will have to pay for a "tape" or one time design charge.
3. I like collared shirts but will sometimes wear an old Diamond Billiard T Shirt under a long sleeve denim shirt when I wear jeans. Just think a lot of people like to wear T-shirts. Again, a great design can make a one color imprint look great.....

A design contest is always a good idea. You and Mike can be the decision makers after reviewing the different designs. Just start a thread like we did for the key chains. We had a fun time working on the key chain designs and they looked great.

I totally agree with that.

put me down for two:

one "T" XL

I agree with the bigger design also but would like to see at least two different colors for those that want to order more then just one ... Maybe a Black and a Blue ...

They were screen printed Joey. All spot colors. I threw in the halftone shadow around the type just to be difficult. :D

Okay. I must have missed the design. I saw someone posted a little bitty pool table pic, but I want something people across a big room can identify and I do not like polo shirts. They're very uncomfortable to me.

Dark-colored T-shirt with big pic, for me, please... :bow-down: :)

Will these be finished, shipped and received in time for the Expo?

Hey JoeyA, RubyRon was the one that came up with that great design, which I would make it a little bigger as requested by another post. Our league shirts were screen printed and looked great. Different color shirts also , so we can order more and both styles of shirts for peoples preference. I'm sure there will have to be alot of requests for these before it can be done....Ron

JesPiddin, you are correct, they did say it was ok to do, I would rather buy it from AzBilliards to support them since I'm not a member yet. If I do go to the Derby, I would see someone else wearing the shirt and introduce myself as Ron, I go by Sk8ordie on AzBilliards. Something like that....Ron:thumbup:

AZ member Leagueshirts did some Fatboy F%&$ing FLIP FOR IT! T-shirts for me, and they were very nice and affordable. I put a new tip on for the shirts. He even threw in a bandana.

I think the pricing is reasonable, T-shirts $10-15 and polos $23-25. But as a special promotion to generate more/bigger orders maybe you can offer $1-2 off each shirt if one person orders more than 5 or 10 or something and has them shipped to the same address. Just a thought. Don't forget to include packaging materials and your time when figuring your pricing.

I vote for a different color polo shirt, though. NOT royal blue. Navy (my preference), black, tan, red would also be good choices. T-shirts black, dark gray or ash gray even a white t-shirt would be fine since it's more casual and a lot of people wear them under other shirts (as was mentioned earlier). Maybe do a POLL for color choices.

Thanks

HA! Could be interesting for some of us members, as our "tables" will not be very FLAT! And I'm not so sure I'll want to point to where the "balls lay". LOL :shocked2:
oooo, that was the most PG-13 comment I could post! :grin-angelic:

I was thinking that if your spot colors that you used could easily be converted over to embroidery thread colors and the embroidery design would look exceptional as well.

Send me a graphic that you used TO SIZE.
Nevermind, I was getting ahead of myself.

If your design is something that Jerry wants to use, I will show it to one of my embroiderer digitizers and get a price for making a tape. Embroidery can be quite attractive even on small graphic images with good digitizing. There are probably some excellent digitizers right here on AZ.

Tables with a curve here and there can be fun to play on. :ok:
