Where do you rank David Alcaide in the world

So a guy and I are having a little discussion on Facebook about where David Alcaide ranks in the world of pool, for sake of conversation let's call it 8 ball but 9 ball as well. He insists that he is hands down the best 8 ball player walking the planet today and will easily beat any other player playing 8 ball. I am saying that I do not even put him in the top ten and maybe BARELY top 20 as far as players go playing 8 ball. What do you think? Opinions on 8 ball and 9 ball.

Never saw him play eight ball.

Have seen his ten ball game three times. He came second one year at the Predator 10-ball event at the Riviera and didn't do as well the subsequent year. He was something of a non-factor in last year's US Open 10 ball and did nothing in the 2013 World Games 9-ball event. Still, he is one of the premier players on the Eurotour and has great skills.

As for 8-ball, I'd be hard pressed to believe that he plays the game better than Darren Appleton, an 8-ball player by training who beat each of Van Boening, Hohmann, and Orcullo at last week's Accu-stats Make-it-happen event in the 8-ball discipline.

Still, I'd like to have the opportunity to see David play 8-ball.

I named the following and forgot a few like Orcullo, corteza, biado, morris, and probably several others. Here is my list...svb, alex pagulayan, appeleton, immonen, hohman, reyes, bustamante, kiamco, shaw, hatch, duel, strickland, archer, souquet

David Alcaide is a class player and a top guy as well. Perhaps he doesn't think that pool should be the only thing in his life and is not as dedicated as he could be. But when his cue comes out of the case he can take down ANYONE. 8 Ball is a popular game in his native Spain and he plays plenty of it.
I would come out of a locked room with the cash against the world.and that includes SVB. Currently I would only rate Chang Jung Lin and maybe Stefan Cohen above him but with Darren and Shane jand a couple of others just off the pace.

Good player. In the top ten in Europe with his best game. Nowhere near the top ten in the world, in any game whatsoever.

But in pool it is different story :)
IMHO , Alcaide is top 20
To your list would add Alcano, Chang , Ko, Wu. If 8b would also add Gareth Potts :)

Are you really serious? This might seem a little disrespectful but with all due respect...are you delusional? Sure anybody can win once or twice but in the long run long races he is just out matched. As far as whoever said I was talking with Marc V, that would be a hell no, I can't stand him and will not ever talk to him again unless I absolutely have to.
