I have read about this guy, I keep hearing about him showing up here and there. Where can I see him play?

Ya probally find him living with is momma and 14 siblings lol.:D (bucktooth)

I knew his son Domnick, he is a great guy. One of my best friends ever worked at the Manteca room for a couple years, Tooth owned that building as well.

He started his business selling pots and pans back in the late 50's or earily 60's he told me, he bought a full container from a broker, he said he didnt have any $$$ to pay for them but told the broker that he plenty of $$$ and asked for net 30 days, back then credit was a bit diffrent than now days. He printed up flyers and put together a crew of people going door to door to hand out the flyers and then a week later they came back and took orders from interested customers and sold them the sets of pots and pans. He said that he had them all sold within the 30 days and paid the broker, thats how he got started-he fired an air barrel. He did that everywhere in the Bay Area until he ran out of spots it was alot smaller back then, but big enough to build a bankroll. He told me he then got into the jewwlery business because of the high profit margins back that era, diamonds speciffcally. He went on to real estate after that and awalys had an interest in pool, so the pool rooms were just a hobbie.

I also remeber him saying once no matter who it is you can (dont remember exact words tooth used) take the oil out of their stroke if you press the bet high enough, that was his gig, he would push the bet so high they would forget how to play.

He showed up in Tahoe at a tournment one year 79 I think and was playing someone and was stuck pretty good, to pretty boy floyd(i think) he called his wife and she came with $1,000,000 and 3-4 body guards, he busted the whole joint, all the rail birds etc. Domnick told me that story and I heard it a couple times in Sacramento. the other paragraphs in this post are directly from me talking to tooth in Manteca about the time he opened that room and are just me quoting him. No BS, i dont like BS.

he left that part out, i asked him how he got started in business and I wrote above what told me, nothing more nothing less. Thats pretty hardcore, I wonder if he intended to whach the guy or was collecting a debt and was making a point? thanks for the info.

He shot the guy in the leg because he owned a bar/pool joint and a bunch of hillbillies started a ruckus and threataned him; in true bucktooth fashion he decided to up the ante from a beating to a shooting and claims he shot multiple people (all in the legs) which he served time for. Supposedly the same hillbillies would always come in, order a pitcher of orange juice and mix in a can of paint thinner; then proceed to go crazy and get violent.

Fearless chiming in here. I usually play 1 hole with rich at crown billiards in san ramon, ca as stated by cornfed. Who the hell is that by the way? He's always ranting and raving like a lunatic. Anyways, if anyone wants to just get in touch with him or is looking for action, I can let him know. Also, if there's any 1 hole players looking for action I'm always game. I'm no champ, but love to play. $5, 10, 20, 50, 100 dollars a game, you name and we'll play with a fair game of course.

He also had a factory that made furniture in Oakland for years. As full of Sh-t as he is in public, he is just as nice in private. Actually a very classy guy if you know him on a personal level. I like the guy a lot, and enjoy the time I've spent with him.

His public personna is just that, something to attract attention and help him make games and scores. And it works pretty well sometimes. He has hit a few hustlers for telephone numbers. I won't mention names here, but the Tooth has relieved some top speed players out of more than their lunch money. Once he gets them going, they can't stop.

I think Cornfed is actually Bucktooth.

It was mentioned once before, and if you look at all (15) of his posts, it makes a lot of sense.

If it is, drop in more often.

One on One he is a gentalman, with an audience he gets into charcter like an actor, two different people, he awalys traeted me with the highest respect as I stated in response to Justnick's post. I knew nick years ago from stockton-good guy.

Tooth will awalys be a legend, I did see him once lower the stakes in a game, he was martching up with Toby(dont know the spot) at a one pocket tournment in Reno in 91-the one Ed Kelly won. Anyways Gentile was staking Toby and wanted to play for $10K/game Tooth talked them down to 4 ahead for $10K. I was 4 or 5 tables away knocking the balls around with Jennett Lee before she played like she does now(I was winning easily) and listened to the negotations. I dont know who won, Tooth looked tired and I hate to say it but old and this was 15 years ago, Toby hadnt beat Archie yet that happened soon after and was playing strong, He spotted me the 5 playing 9 ball which was way too much weight a month before that and ran me over. He was playing the best pool of his life, in all fairness to myself, I did play bad the day he beat me. I moved to LA shortly after and we didnt play again. That was the ONLY time I ever saw Tooth lower the stakesphe had his reasons. I wish I knew who won, I left by 4am and was told the next day but cant remember 100% but I "think " Toby did, but again i'm not sure.

LOL :D. Thanks for the boost of confidence. I just love to play and don't mind losing if the game is fair. Now a days, there's a lot of players who are just looking to steal and don't really care about improving their game or seeing others improve. So, i'm willing to bet if thats what it takes to get good players to play.

I wish somebody can record his woofing/monlogue/comments/utterences.
He cracks me up.I only remember two of his many statements.
1.come to my room and if you can draw the cue ball 3 inches you will find some one to stake you
2.When u come to my room we will weigh u on the scale when u come in and then when are leaving. You weigh more when you are leaving ( u will win lot of cash).
He cheers himself after some shots screaming ``toothie``,``toothie``.

Contact Accu-stats (Pat Fleming). There was a 30 minute recording of Bucktooth trying to get Efren, or anyone of the "champions", to play him for whatever they want to bet..."just have to make the game fair" ;). Don't even no if it was ever for sale or if it's available now, but a friend of mine showed it to me years ago in California.

Anyway, it's hilarious and very entertaining. He related a very funny story of him playing Keith $100 a game where he allowed Keith to play on the wire and stories of him and Cole Dickson and much more. You would be hard pressed to find anything more entertaining than this 30 min video that was captured after hours.

Dave

I believe Cornfed is Bucktooth too.....the phrasing and what he usually says are just the way Bucktooth talks or "woofs" at people....
