My local pool Hall.

Pool tables,Pool players,Beer...

All about two miles from home.

Or am I missing the spirit of the question?
If not, thats most probably gonna be a popular answer me thinks lol.

Well I'm an ass lol. I somehow missed the whole "poll" part of it...geeze.
I hope that explains what might have seemed like a confusing reply.

Zeppelin and Clapton on vinyl..

Nice..if not perfect, music imo.

Nice sports bar with major league baseball and football players coming in. The couple that I went to had local sports writers from newspapers and TV come in also. Plenty of money action on the tables with very little chance of getting hurt. Johnnyt

What about the strip clubs with all the money?? Why isn't that a choice?

Hardtimes Bellflower

A great poolroom with well kept equipment. Friendly staff and you never know who might be there at any given time. Efren, Busta, Alcano and many others. Thanks Brooke and Kenny

I would pick a old hall with just pool, cokes and record jukebox. But I have to admit, there have been several times where a run down corner bar on a friday or saturday night with cheap beer, plenty of action, and old jukebox was a blast for several hours of 8ball fun. I miss those days.

Or, used to be my buddy Mikes pool hall on Friday nights in Atlanta, Lucky Breaks.

Or, a fun night at Mr Cue's II watching the action in the back while playing next to it.

Where do you like to play pool best? Why?

If I was independently wealthy, I would love to have a pool room with a great big neon sign out front that said, " Scottster's Billiards! No Loud Music! No video Games! No Poker! No Darts! Just Pool!!!

The only problem with that is I would have to have a lil tiny sign that also said, "Makin No Money either."

Pool Room

I like to play in a pool room,IE Mr cues in atlanta/Marietta billiard club and the pool room are my hang outs.If they have a shimmed table thats where I'll be,I want the challenge.

My personal preference is in a FAMILY pool hall, where there are all ages playing pool, especially the kids. No drinking, no smoking, no drunks, hardly ever a fight (only seen one)... Just good, ol' pool. The kids need more places to go, to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. Once upon a time, there was a skating rink, a bowling alley, a local swimming pool, a movie theater, etc., to keep them busy. They even rode their bicycles down the street. Now, many of them have no clue what a friend is. They are playing video games or surfing on the web. No physical activities and no social life.

Sorry. Wrong soapbox for today. :D

My basement. Friends, beer, Zeppelin and Clapton on vinyl.. why would I want to go anywhere else?

Throw some Jethro Tull and Moody Blues in there and I'll be right over.:D :D

Piddlin, we have a pretty food family pool hall in this neck of the woods. It's the kind of place you can (and people do) bring a baby, and you won't hear any lyrics that would shock grandma, unless pink floyd shocks her.

I'm happy to see so many votes for old-fashioned pool room that's mostly pool tho I guess in this forum that's a given. But I can honestly say I really haven't seen such a thing. They all have bars and jukeboxes these days. It costs too much money not to, even if some incredibly awesome room owner were inclined.

I know just the place.

Jack's Rec Center, Middletown OH. Pool tables, Vending Machines, PinBall Machine and Benny to take the cheap green fees. Diamonds and a lot of good equipment for sale. All that and it is about 5 blocks from my house.
