Where the heck is Alex Pagulayan?!

Hope this hasn't been covered already ad nauseum, but I've been wondering what happened to The Lion... Love to watch him play, but haven't seen him in any of the tournaments I've watched this year. Is he off playing big $$ poker, jail, taking a break, what?! Someone clue me in.

If he has zero pool interest right now, I guess that means he's got some meaningful income from elsewhere... Sad to lose a guy like that. He was one of the bigger "characters" in pro pool these days, not to mention and incredible player.

Even though poker has been on the decline since Black Friday, top online pros can still consistently make more in a week that SVB or anyone else can make in a year playing pool. If Alex is choosing poker over pool, I guess I can't blame him. There is way more available action in poker than in pool at any given time.

I don't know if I'm buying all this poker stuff, he had a free invite to the
Accu-stats tournament coming up and he passed. I think there is
something more to this than he is just playing cards.
I hope that's all there is to this.

Alex is like this guy we have (had?) in va, Giles darr.

Giles would occasionally come down from the hills and into the big city to whup up on everybody, leave with the money and no be seen again for a good while.

Who knew why he came down when he did, but when he did, it was to play and bet big.

Alex will come down from the hills again. We won't really know when or why, but stay out of his way, I suggest.

i almost made a similar thread entitled, "where the hell is ronnie alcano" until someone on youtube posted a local money match. i wonder how sharp alex plays today.
