Where to get third party shipping insurance?

Any of you know where someone can get third party shipping insurance for a single shippment with high value? I cant seem to find any company that does that.. All I found were services that either have a minimum of packages you have to ship per month or make you become a member of some organization..

I'm curious about why you would want third-party insurance. (Actually fourth-party:smile:.) Is is because insurance from the shipper can be very hard to collect on?

To ship something next day AND cover for high value...Most wont work with anyone but a company that ships a minimum amount of shipments a month... There are companies that do it and I'm in the process of talking to them. I will post here when all info is received...

So far as I can figure out from the USPS website you cannot ship a next-day box (Express Mail) as registered mail, which is really strange. They do allow Priority ("2-day") boxes to also be registered mail, and $50,000 of insurance is about $90.
