Where to play in Bergen County NJ?

I got a overnight job in Bergen County NJ( I don't have the exact address yet) and it looks like I will have most of the 17th free to play some pool. What pool halls in the general area do you AZer's recommened and why?

Castle Billiards is a solid room. Good tables, several strong players and action to be had if you want it. Harry the cue guy there also does fine work if you need anything done.

I look forward to their food whenever I go to Castle. Prices are reasonable, I can't believe I'm getting a cooked to order burger for what I would spend at McDonalds.

Bergen county is big...

Castle, Pool time billiards, are the places of note. Ken Kerner has a place in NY not far away, there are many options.

Castle seems to be what I'm leaning towards at this time. Action is a big deal to me more looking for a decent room to visit and hit a few. If I play some cheap sets or cheap 1pthats fine but again not important.

Until my customer gives me the actually address I can't narrow down but Bergen isn't that big that I can't drive to any of them. I have played at Ken's room many times.
More than likely I will be checking out Castle billiards and if any AZer's are going to be there let me know.
 
I mostly play at castle. It's a good room with good food. You should be able to find action after 5/6pm mon/wed/thurs

Thanks, as long as everything goes as planned I will be checking out Castle. Do they open early during the week?
 
East Rutherford is not a hop skip and jump from bergen county
.Diamond Jims in Nanuet Ny is closer. Also the Ken Kerners room that someone mentioned.

Not sure where in Bergen you are but i know a lot of people cone up to this room.
 
Not sure why you think East Rutherford is not a borough of Bergen county.

Since action is important to the OP, I think he would do himself a big disservice if he didn't consider checking Steinway Billiards in Astoria Queens NY. I heard their house pro recently won at Turning Stone, and Wednesday is their open tournament night.

Well action really isn't important to me just like checking out rooms I haven't seen before. Steinway is not going to happen this trip. Their house pro is in CT this weekend and the second place finished at TS is looking for his revenge tomorrow.

If that Big Tony guy wanted to give me a small spot I may play some cheap 10 ball of 1p.

Hey Cliff,
I hope all is well. My room (Diamond Jim's) is near the Northern part of Bergen County. From me, Castle is about 30 minutes and going towards the Southern end of Bergen. You know I don't play much, but probably could twist my arm for some action :)

Hello Ken, Once I get the final address from the customer on where I need to be thursday morning I will make my final decision on where to play. I have been to your room many times and recommened it to anyone if your near the area.
As far as action with you I'm not sure about that. I have seen you play many times I know I would need a very healthy spot to feel like I have a chance with you.

Castle is IN Bergen county.
 
My customer still hasn't given my all the details but either way I will try make it to Castle atleast for a few hours.

My customer finally gave me the address and I will be delivering to Moonachie, NJ. Looks like its only about 8 min from Castle so I will have to check it out.
