It really doesn't matter to me because I chalk before each shot.

I'm the same way. Always chalk between shots. More to slow me down than fear of mis-cues. Been using Triangle brand chalk for more years than I can remember. Most rooms in the Northeast have Master brand. Found it flakes much more than Triangle. Far more residue on my hands and shafts. Carry roughly ten pieces in my case as I tend to leave it on the table.
Spoke with Chris Renfro at SBE. We discussed his new chalk. Been meaning to try it. Several cue makers I know have had excellent results with both his chalk and tips.
