I have heard Le Pro are good, what speeds do they come in? If they only come in one speed which other speed would you recommend to the nost spin out of the cue ball.

Cheers poolplayer you've been extremely helpful and as we say here in scotland your brand new (translation: great guy)

What type of tip would you suggest poolplayer, feel free to list more that one as I have only ever played with water buffalo tips on my playing cue I have at the moment.
best to try different tips to see what suits you're game......i prefer elkmasters or triangles though a lot of people are using layered tips such as moori, kamui or the tiger range(everest, sniper etc).all depends on what sort of hit you like(soft, med, hard)

le pro tips are great if you can get a good one. the problem is they're so hit or miss. i've heard cuemakers say when they get a box it's not a huge surprise to find half the box isn't compressed enough.

take a few and drop them in a glass of water. the ones that sink are more likely to be good

no problem bro, take care

I like #1 but with an all black wrap

I picked #2 because I like a stacked leather wrap. If #1 had the wrap that #2 has on it, I would have picked it over #2 as like the simple design of the points.

I like #1.
My first cue ever was a Scorpion. I think they play really well. I am just a begginner so me thinking they play well might not mean to much to you. I believe that the shafts are coated in fiberglass.
I am actually looking at getting a new break cue and Scorpion's break cue is one of the four I am looking at. The other 3 are Predator, Sledgehammer, Guylassy.

I voted #3. Less is more. I used to play with a Scorpion but it was a bit too stiff for me. Still, it probably makes for a nice all-in-one cue because it breaks nicely without having to do too much, especially in 9-ball.
