Hi all,

i have a 1 piece titlist ready for conversion, and im in a dilemna in choosing a cuemaker to do my titlist.

Here are the cuemakers im considering right now:

(1) Darrin Hill
(2) Corey Barnhart
(3) Mike Webb
(4) Jensen
(5) Rick Howard

Who would you choose for (a)playability and (b)value retention? Thanks in advance, if you have anyone else to recommend pls do so as well..

pm sent

Mike Johnson (Jensen) would be my pick for playability. Jerry Rauenzahn is consdered one of the best for Titlist conversions as well. Jerry has probably done more Titlist's than any active cue builder. Tascarella would be great, expect to wait about 3 and 1/2 years. You will be very happy with a cue from Mike or Jerry. Both are great to deal with, have short wait times, do great work, and make cues that play as good as anyone.
Thanks-jeff

I have seen several Titlists converted by ACA Member, Jim Buss that were real nice.

yep I have 1 titlist conversion order with Mr Buss ;) Does anyone know whether Mr Tascarella does titlist conversions?

Titlist

Get in contact with Kenneth Murrell. Think I remember he did a Titlist conversion the last few month and pictures are posted in the Galerie-Forum.
Contact and work from Kenneth ist great.

a. I've seen some real fine work by Mike and his cues always play well.
b. Got me, Mike isn't as well known as he should be. You'll probably be able to get an idea for your answer to 'b' based upon a count of your answers to 'a'.

I would agree with Jeff and would just add that -R-'s cues playability IMHO is 2nd to none ;)

While all the above are good choices, I would have to contact Ron Hailey if I were you. Ron may be more expensive but, he really makes some fantastic cues and Conversions, not to mention that the future appreciation of his cues.

I agree with many of the above comments.

Kerry Zeiler evidently doesn't want to do any more titlists....

Jerry Rauenzahn is definitely a great cuemaker for the job and will not dissapoint!

Kenneth Murrell would be a fantastic choice as well!

Jim Buss was one of my choices, but he just didn't seem interested enough....? I never have heard back from him....

I am sending my 26 1/2 cue to Kenneth Murrell to convert soon!

kucharski

Greg Kucharski, gregskues.com, did mine.

I recommend him highly-- does great work, easy to deal with.

Good luck to you, lots of good candidates out there.

stick with jerry. he does a amazing job with the classics.

cost and turn around time is outstanding

jerry gets them points perfect!

Just like Dave said, Jerry -R- is very good with vintage cues. I love the Andy Gilbert Titlist conversions I have. Some pretty knowledgeable people have looked at them and just rave about the quality in every way. A-E is doing fabulous work on Titlist conversions. They are expensive, but the A-E purple heart Titilist cue that I have plays as good as good as any cue I own.

This is a great subject. Titilist conversions are just about my favorite cues.

Thanks guys for the great suggestions posted here and via pm! Really appreciate all the help given, and I have decided on Mr Tascarella, he was so polite and helpful, it was impossible not to let him do it :D And to Mr Webb, im really looking forward to the cue you are building for me :)
