...the ring in my avatar into custom ringwork for a cue?

I have been looking for cuemakers who can make this ring into ringwork, and so far only one has told me he can do it (Thanks S. :D). All the others either can't do it or never got back to me or followed up with me. I was hoping to have more cuemakers to try out.

So, with all the cue enthusiasts here on AZF, I am hoping to get some help from all of you. Do you know of any cuemakers who may be able to make this ring into custom ringwork? The same cuemaker would make the cue too, of course. There are a lot of lesser known cuemakers out there, and I am hoping that AZers can bring them to my attention. I know some of the "big boys" can make the ring, but I do not have a fortune to spend. Besides, I want to see what the lesser known makers can do.

Thanks in advance for any help on this. Any contact info, especially email, for any cuemakers you recommend would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and for those cuemakers who are reading this, if you can make this ring into ringwork, please PM me!

I consider Samsara to be one of the big boys. But, you are correct in that they can probably make this easily. I may give them a try, even if they will probably charge a premium....

With what I know about cue making {and that ain't a lot}, it looks like a kinda tough piece of work. What material are we talking here? Siver, brass, gold, ivory, etc? In the the joint and shaft collars, I assume? Anywhere else on the cue?

Brass. At A, B, C, D and E, and possibly two more in the handle section. And right now, I'm leaning towards having a black (phenolic or ebony) "backing" band for the ring.

The cue makers who are known for their intricate ring works would be my choice, as long as you dont mind paying their price. I am sure you will be very pleased with the result.

Bill Stroud (Josswest), Bill McDaniel, Thomas Wayne, are the three that come to my mind.

And how about Keith Josey?

I would use ivory/white gold, onto an ebony background.

Those are definitely "big boys". I don't think I can afford them. But if I could, Thomas Wayne would be one of the first I would ask.

Perry weston is the cuemaker that comes to my mind first for any kind of metel gold platnuim ring work give the guy a call.:)

I was also thinking of Tom Coker ... He was a Master Jeweler prior to building cues ... His wife, Michi, has many unusual and intricate rings made by Tom in the old days, but I doubt if Tom would want to tackle the Jewelry business again ... The Rings you want could be "lost-wax" cast in the exact diameters needed for A,B,C,D, & E ... The cost would be prohibitive, but you would truly have a one-of-a-kind Cue when completed ...

two options

You have to have a true master craftsman or a four to seven axis machine to make that ring properly. Then you add as so many do, that you don't want to spend a lot of money! Somebody has either put many years into learning their craft or many thousands into machinery and there is still considerable skill required. Either way, they are foolish if they work cheap.

I second the notion that I believe Tom and Michi could do something like that.
