How much are you looking to spend?

What style of cue are you looking for? Old school with stainless joint? Got any links to pics of cues you like? There's a bunch of newer cuemakers on this board that might be able to build what you want.

It's hard to beat the playability of a Masonh IMO! I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for, or looking to spend, but if he's in your budget he's hard to beat

I heard that Skip Weston's son is making cues now and he makes a 4 point player for around that price.

Jeff Olney,,,,,,

For that price range, I'de jump on an ''Olney''.......I have 6 of them,,,I'de pit them up there with anything I own and Jeff is one of the ''GOOD GUYS'' in Cuemaking,,,,,Alan,,,,,,

Gracio, Leon Sly, MasonH, Doug Patrick, these guys are all making great looking players at decent prices. You can find out about them by searching here.

I have to say MasonH!! cue looks the part, he has some truly amazing woods to work with and his cue plays lights out, and an overall great guy to boot!

PM sent............

I agree 100%, you can pay a lot more but you can't get any better than an Olney. However if you want to pick your woods from the start, it's going to tak a while to get one from Jeff.
Bryan Mordt BCM Cues will make you a great player of your own design with a relatively short wait time.

well i contacted mason and he has a 2 yr list... so... I"m thinking between Bebote(phillipines), Olney, BMC or Jack Madden.... any help or insite would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Send a PM to DrOnePocket. He can get you a Mitchell Thomas at an outstanding deal. Tell him hivoltg sent you. You won't be disappointed

My first decent cue was a simple Heubler conversion made by Craig at Fullsplice billiards... (Believe he goes by "MANWON" on this forum with a disturbing dog as his avatar  ) I think when I purchased mine there was a considerable list, but it has and will continue to serve me well. Granted, I am a novice player, but his service and straightforwardness was appreciated.

Yes, cue is still dead straight and ferrule and joint are strong after about 6 months of near-nightly play (many of them under the influence of beer and the expected drops and light-fixture dings of a newbie).

Since I have owned few Scruggs cues in my time I would go with Corey Barnhart, Jeff Olney and Masonh. They all make great hitting cues and plus they are price right too.
