Which other pool forums do you post on?

The title says it all I guess.

I also post on two Dutch pool (and the first also poker) related forums, http://hotel.messageboard.nl/3874/index.php and http://november.messageboard.nl/6924/login.php (mainly for local 6-foot competition which is very big in my area).
I also visit the largest German pool forum, http://www.billard-aktuell.de/

I'm coming to terms with my forum addiction, and could use some good american/english forums. From what I hear and experience here AZ seems to be the best place around, but there have to be more quality forums out there, right? Snooker also interests me greatly, so feel free to include those. I also post on Southern Billiards. I have a few friends that post there and I get to catch up on all of the local happenings.
 
I was posting on rec.sport.billiards under the psydoneum of billiard babe BUT, it has turned into the flame wars of fast larry and the site is barely about pool anymore. Too bad to, there was some really nice people there and I have even matched up with a couple. It's amazing how a couple people can ruin it for everyone!

I used to be a staple at the CCB, but the NPR side of the forum has really gotten pretty ridiculous and it just detracts from the whole site.

Socalpooltalk.com was never safe from FL, and it just sucks.

I miss drivermaker. And he was right.

CCB sux anymore...especially the NPR side <Barbara hit it on the head>. I post on OnePocket.org, I read the Southernbilliards.com and I never read RSB rec.sports. I already had my life's fill of FL...BAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!

I read RSB through recgroups.com-

It has a great filtering system. Just sign up and click options and you can eliminate all of Larry's nonsense by blocking all of his personas every time they pop up. It actually makes RSB quite enjoyable to read once you use the killfile. Though I don't post very often to RSB, it is still a very good site for discussion about the game of pool and it can be brought back to prominence if enough people participate and ignore/eliminate the flame war atmosphere.

Did anyone else get that !!-! ACCESS DENIED !-!! message when visiting www.Pro9.co.uk ?

If you did, it's because apparently our hosting company isn't that sharp, and managed to let a three year old trojan onto their server... It's a pretty lame script that only affects Internet Explorer... People using Firefox weren't affected.

Well... Pro9.co.uk is back online and has been for a while... But there are some people (quite a few actually) that still can't visit the web site yet!

If you're still seeing that !!-! ACCESS DENIED !-!! message it's because your computer is looking at an image of Pro9 stored on your computer in it's temporary files!

This is something your computer does, to speed up your Internet surfing experience. It will automatically renew the image at some time in the future, but to get your computer to load the Pro9 page from the Internet now, you may need to do the following...

Open Internet Explorer and look along the top row of menus until you see "File / Edit / View / Favourites / Tools / Help". Click on "Tools", then click on "Internet Options".

In the "General" tab, the middle block is called "Temporary Internet Options" - this is where the pages you view on the Internet are stored. Clicking on "Delete Files" may sound scary, but it just deletes those images that you've browsed before, thus forcing your computer to reload it next time you are on the Internet, rather than using the old saved image.

Try loading www.pro9.co.uk after that, but I had to click on "Delete Cookies..." too, before I could see Pro9. Cookies are little bits of information saved on your computer, that help your computer navigate around some web pages.

If all this sounds a bit technical, it isn't, it's a really simple procedure, once you've done it you'll see.

DM didn't ruin socal... I was there with a few others, including DM when it started up... before you, before Larry, & before some others that'll remain nameless. I'm not going to bring up the names of the people that did but it started before FL and it wasn't DM. For the record, DM hasn't even looked at any pool forum since April. Certain people insist he's still posting and that he's got an alias on here, blah, blah, blah. WRONG!!

I would bet my life on the fact that he hasn't posted here since he was banned. Take that for what it's worth but that's how strongly I believe him. He's not very computer savvy and didn't even think he could come back here after being banned even though a few people tried to talk him into it. DM has not posted here since being banned & has not posted on socal or any place else since April. Even when he's not around, certain people try to find a way to blame him for stuff. :rolleyes:

Back in April he sent an email to a certain group of people. Out of respect for his privacy I'll keep 90% of it to myself but I will share one small part. Over the course of the last few of yrs, DM has lost some people very close to him due to illness. In April he lost another friend... here's part of what he wrote....

On the flip side of that it also made me wonder if the sickle guy came tomorrow, would I want to have thoughts of the stupid crap on the forums rolling around in my head as some of the final images in my mind. Christ, I can't imagine my last few hours of having Fast Larry, Debra, Smorgassbored, Marissa, Shorty, Mr. Wilson, or Howerton as ANY PART of my thoughts! How HORRIBLE would THAT BE??!!

I will no longer have ANY PART of it. I've deleted ALL of those idiotic forums from 'favorites' so that I can't easily or automatically click on and it'll be a chore to type it in. I don't ever want to read it or think about those characters. Hell, I think I'll put parental controls on myself for those websites if I ever get curious so that I CAN'T come on!

So, PLEASE, DO NOT email any more telling me about ANY of those idiots or problems on the forums. I absolutely DON'T want to hear it or care.

I've made my LAST POST and if the man comes tomorrow to take me to the promise land, I want NONE of those idiots on my mind.

FWIW, at least DM made informed posts about pool and had the balls to say what was on his mind and then leave it in print. You don't talk pool... you make asinine posts about nothing and then you turn around and delete them.... but yet you want to blame DM for all the problems on all the forums.... Go look in a freaking mirror. You contribute nothing of value or interest that I've been able to see (when I can see it, because you're always deleting). DM might've been curt in the way he talked and rough around the edges but he made some very informative posts and IMO has bigger pubic hair than you have balls.

Listen, little Ms Perfect. I don't care a whit about YOUR opinion on anything. You haven't been the one that DM was OBSESSED with.Not only did he spend hundreds of hours pouring through thousands of posts of mine in Google groups, he'd then cut & paste them all over the internet. You claim that he's so innocent, but if you look through socal pooltalk, you'll find that 90 % of the threads when he arrived onscene and 100s of posts were about me. Not so much now, but before your little Angel signed off. Just recently, your Angel made an attention seeking I'm leaving RSB' post and took the time to take another shot at me. He's an obsessed sicko and you're welcome to him. It got to where DM spent his entire day lurking here and everytime I made a post,he cut & pasted it over at socal or RSB. If I choose to delete my posts after someone has quoted them, that's MY business. I don't like DM and I'm glad that he's gone.
I certainly can't dispute your last sentence, as you are probably the authority on mens balls & pubic hair. Have a nice life on my Ignore list.
