Which Sneaky to buy?

I own a Frey coco that I got from JP at Cues N things. I love the cue and hes a great guy to deal with.

I would be for a Frey as well. However, I own an Al Romero sneaky that, IMHO, is exactly what you described you are looking for. to a tee!
Al is known for his sneakys, infact that pretty much all he gets orders for.
Its a softer hit, forward balanced. Really nice fit at the joint! he uses a natural rub finish on his petes that look great. the price is awesome too!!

Here is his contact:

There is a new guy on the block ...

His name is Jeff Eason ... His cues hit a ton and they are still very reasonable to pick up... Right now he builds alot of Sneaky's I own one it is 59 inches long , Has a Malavia tip ... buckhorn ferrell ... Nice finish ... beautiful cue .... smooth ... Balance is forward on it ... 3/8X 10 pin .... wood on wood Joint ... I love it ... Feltmaster swears by Jeffs Sneakys also ... Jeff has learned alot from Leon Sly ... I carry the Sneaky in my case but also carry my two Schons and I' a Schon man so I use my Schons alot ... When I walk in people watch to see what stick I'm using .... If I don't use Jeffs sneaky they race to me to see if they can shoot with it ... I have been asked to sell it several times ... I refuse too, but I do give them Jeff's name and number ... Best part is that for the hit and quality you get in a Eason Cue they are still very , very cheaply priced... I don't think he knows how good they are yet ... I have him building me another now and the price has gone up a little so maybe he is catching on... Here are some of Jeffs cues ....

Other guys I would recommend ... Jimmy Lee of JD customs ... Very nice guy and will got out of his way to please you ... Builds a great cue ...

Doug Patrick ... Builds a awesome cue and a sharp sneaky he carried like 13 to the expo and sold all of them... I think he told me Mark Wilson use to play with one of his cues...This Is Duogs web site ...

Joe Baker ... JB Customs ... Suoer nice guy super nice cue ... here is one he is building for me though not a Sneaky ...

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=93180

These guys can build you a great Cue ... And all are very reasonable when it comes to price ... They are looking to build you the best cue for the least amount of money ... And they are easy to deal with ... They don't have the attitude that come with some of the cue makers that have made it and just don't really feel they have to work as hard any more...

Thats jusy my two cents ... just trying to help...

Scruggs, Dzuricky, SugarTree, Bautista, MasonH, Frey, BHQ and a host of others....

Most of those hit pretty stiff, but dzuricky's and bhq's are a little softer imho.

Go with the Josey. I have a josey sneaky and it plays great. The Joseys are world class people.

Yup ... what you say is the da truth!!!

Hey Stefan, I'm not sure how easy it is to reach him via email. I can call him for you and ask about email or arrange for a call time between you two.

I am very willing to help. So if you would like, just let me know what I can do! If you have questions about his cues, let me know and I can call Al and get some answers too.

Basic sneaky starts around $220 USD.

Kind Regards, Jeff

sneaky

If you want a soft hit and a wood to wood joint then i recomend

Bludworth originals

My two cents

I prefer a very stiff cue and a Pat Diveney with a lake salvage shaft is about as stiff as you can get. Also if you are considering guys from AZ to build you a sneaky also consider Bryan Fisher. His Az handle is RFisher and his website is www.fishercues.com. He is a super guy to deal with and will bend over backwards to get you what you want.

YOu won't regret buying a Patrick!

I couldn't agree more, Bryan and his brother are awsome to deal with.

JP I don't appreciate the accusations sounds more like defamation of character or slandering of my business. I don't know what you have against me I don't know why you come on this forum and down grade me like I'm nobody. I'm going to forward this information to my attorney and let him handle it from here on out.

Country: It's frustrating. Tim & Mike have tried to help you, you bad mouth them , Bob Frey has been patient with you, and you bad mouth him. Sly hangs out with Fat Wayne getting drunk 3 nights a week, his wife wants to kill him, He buys 3rds,shafts from Tim,not seconds, buys house cues from Smelke and from pool halls, uses fast dry glue, but according to you he's a great cuemaker. Truth is, he's a ****ing Redneck doing a half ass job, and bullshiting people like you, that he's the next Balabushka. You have had every damn cue made out there, and there is no way you're gong to tell me that his cues are worth a shit. I normally sit on the fence, but Tim,Mike, and Bob are legitimate businessmen, you now know what I think of your great newfound cuemaker. JP

Bob, I'am just pissed at the way you handle friends. You forwarded my message to Sly. It was ment for you personally. You have a way of starting shit. Give Sly my number, I will explain how I came to not like the things you say of others, so I spoke to you personally to let you know my feelings. I'll gladly tell him that it is you that gave me my imformation of him.

I agree. I really like my Josey and my Diviney but they're stiffer hitting cues.

My Blud isn't nearly as stiff and is a nice hitting cue.

Just get a cheap a$$ players sneaky pete. It will play just as good as any of the cues mentioned, and it only cost you a Grant!

Diveney

I will also vote for Pat D. His cues hit stiff, but great feel...lots of feedback - especially if you go with the G10 pin and lake salvage shafts.

I have a cocobolo one into straight maple that I will not be parting with.

Good Luck,

R.S.
