I have installed about 30 of these tips and initially it was a learning process about what was the best approach in preparation of the ferrule and tip surfaces and the right type of adhesive to use.
Understand that the white diamond tip is a complex matrix of materials, so the right bonding agent is always important in havin the three components meld properly. Remember you have the Ferrule Material and preparation as well as the bonding (gluing agent) and the Tip itself.
All I will say is that take your time in the trial and error process and the trick is to maintain an aerobic bond to the tip and ferrule, you dont want it so brittle of a bond that the impact of jumping or breaking creates a fracturing effect of the bonding agent between the solid structures (tip and ferrule)
Hope this starts you in the right direction.
I have a small pro shop in Clearwater/Largo, right next to the Crooked Cue Billiards hall, I see the guy asking about this originally is from the Clearwater area, so I offer to have him drop by, "The Cue Man, Kennedys' Pool Accessories" and we can talk about this further. Good luck,
