Who are the Top 5 Bar Box players

I would say all the players mentioned were good choices. It probably depends on who is having a good day between the top 20 or 30 barbox players. Here's a couple more from the past that played sporty:
Joe Salazar
John Shuput
Gary Nolan
Clyde Childress
Steve Oaks
Weldon Rogers
Larry Price (still plays good).

This is a great thread because I love bar pool and bar table action and all of the names from the past and present are really impressive. With all of that said don't we have to call Warren Kiamco the top bar table player right now? I know it wasn't all of the best but it was a hell of a field and he took down both divisions at the bar table open. I know that guys on this list could beat him on a given day but the US Bar Table Open is the only recent criteria we have for measuring "the best."

I guess you would have to. This could be argued for years to come.

It is so hard to gauge the best bar tables because things change so quickly on a bar box. Just a couple of rolls and the momentum can swing the other way. With top level players, there is never a safe lead.

Larry Price, wow that guy is one steady mutha. He gave me the eight in Asheville, NC one time and I lucked out the first set and lost the second to a "no mistake set." This guy just keeps rollin' em in. Nothing fancy, just runs ball after ball. Steady. Steady. I thought I wouldn't hear that name again; but, he could argueably be in the top twenty or so.

Nine ball is eaisier on the bar table than on the big table, But just the opposite with eight ball. Eight ball is eaisier on the big table.

best i have seen are Kirkwood,Bowman,Shane VB,Vilmont,and Walden in no particular order.i know there are many others but these are the best 5 i have seen.there are 2 herein Nashville where i live that play just a step or two under them,Bobby Pickle and John Hennessee.

If it's the same guy, I've heard classic stories about Bobby Pickle in Vegas
