Here's a little eye candy that was delivered to my house today. Can anyone identify what it is, and who's finish work??

The cue has a stainless steel joint, 5/16-14 stainless steel pin, one old growth tight grain hard rock maple shaft with ivory ferrule, the 2nd shaft is my standard Predator 314. Super soft pigskin leather wrap that you need a magnifying glass to find the seam, and the traditional Bushka joint collars. Yes, it's ebony.

Enjoy,

John

Great looking cue.
Wish it would have shown up at my house.
Would love to hear the rest of the story.

-R- cue with a blank by Mr. Davis......that's my guess.

For a second, I thought it was an ebony titlist blank...but can't quite make out the colors of the veneers. Time for a new PC monitor, I think.

Nice lookin' cue. Gotta love a simple and elegant 4 pointer with a piloted steel joint!!!! :)

It is a ebony Titlist conversion!

For sure. Nice cue Mr. John! I see we got our cues on the same day!
Your friend,
Nick :)

My guess is that it is a titlist conversion (based on the veneers).

If I had to guess on who did the conversion? Dunno. I'll take a stab at Jerry Rauenzahn

That's the cue I want!! Too bad I can't find an ebony one!! One like that or wrapless would be awesome!!

John, if you want to work a deal on that, I'll be more than happy to!!!

Thanks to everyone that took a shot at WHAT and WHO did the cue.

Those of you that thought Mr. Jerry Rauenzahn did the Titlist conversion are right on!! Yes Nick, you're right I do have a small collection of ebony Titlist cues including one with the Willie Hoppe name and 22 oz still stamped on a wrapless no less. Sadly, this cue is not for sale.

You would not believe what Mr. Jerry -R- had to go through to make this cue conversion. All I'll say is it was nearly given up for dead. But -R- gave it a heart beat. And now it's in full recovery. It's better than new!! And those beautiful nickel/silver Bushka rings, yeah! Old school for sure.

Also, John I know this is what you're looking for, all I can say is if you have Jerry -R- do a Titlist cue you will be blessed with his work. It's very difficult to find a titlist anymore with nice even and colorful points. When you see one, better grab it up ASAP before someone else jumps on it. I hate losing one over $50 or $100 especially when they're really nice.
