Who do you think are the top ten 1 Pocket players in the world right now?

Cliff is not the player he once was, but still has his moments. I was actually watching him last night playing a guy that plays my speed 9/6 and it was a struggle for him. He sees shots that most never even come close to thinking about shooting. The guy he was playing never did anything special just shot at everything....a go-fer.....and was making 70% of the stuff he shouldn't have even shot at. Is he top 10....not at the moment but top 15 in my book on knowledge alone. He has beaten the best in the world before so that has to count for something.

Gabe Owen use to play strong. I don't hear much about him anymore, so I don't know how he plays now

I would replace one of these with Alex, probably Busty.

lol Agreed Alex should be on the list, but Bustamante would still be there (sometimes I feel Bustey is the Rodney Dangerfield of pool)

No Chinese?

Real one pocket (experience+patience+strategy)
Efren,
Daulton,
Cliff Joyner
Brandon Shuff
Chris Gentile
Ochwa!! (spelling!!!)
(many retired players)

Offensive "luck'm balls and pray to God to get lucky!!" one pocket players:
Alex P
Frost
SVB (i would put SVB on top list maybe at times)
Bustey
Orcollo
Appleton
Compton
Grey
Duel

Not sure where Jose Parica fits!!

Misread the OP...didn't notice that it was one pocket...my first thought was why no Chinese players.

He has only been playing people on 1 table
And he has not played any good 1 pocket players
He might be in the list but he will have to beat some good players first

Well, considering that he's played probably 1000 matches against the top 20 in the world with a winning record, I'd beg to differ.

I guess after he beats you next Wednesday, he'll be able to say he's played a "good" 1 pocket player...

Like him or not, he can spot some of the guys on that list. He can still out play anybody, on any given day, Dual, Daulton, Compton, Gray, Hall, have no chance against him.

I want three if they are legal, one if they aren't.

top 10

Scott SVB Alex P and Efren in no order and then there is a huge group that could all be switched out 5-10 IMO

Hes a great player sure but NOW (not talking the past) you can win all I got in my pocket next year at derby if he wants to play a couple on that list JS

Surprised that John Schmidt isn't in more people's lists. I watched the match with him and Gentile on vimeo, and the recent match lenny posted up where he was playing Frost. He doesn't always play the "correct" shot, but his 1-hole game is definitely up there.

Maybe he will win maybe he won't
You seem like you know he is a lock

1000 matches vs the top 20 in the world
I think you are a little off on this

Most people look past john s when talking 1 pocket
He should be up very high on the list
