I know many of us have JB cases on order, so I thought I would start this to pass the time. . .

Who has a case on order from JB and what's he making ya?

I have a leather case on order based on the synthetic prototypes which has been on here. It will surely be a sweet case. It will be made from embossed/textured leathers since I like a plainer look and the functional durability of non-smooth leather. I also can't seee myself spending what great tooling costs. If I could, JB has made some great ones! Base case link.

I have a 2x4 black leather/wine croc on order. Probably 2 or 3 more weeks or so.

I'm getting ready to have one on order. I think I can get more for my money from JB than from some other "unnamed" expensive cue makers. Thanks Cocobolo Cowboy for the suggestion. I appreciate it.

My case would have probably cost $3000 from the "other guy" when I was finished with the tooling so I was going to settle for a lot less.

I have a 3x6 soft ostrich skin case that is FANTASTIC. It took a lot longer than I expected, but, quite frankly, it was worth it. John's committment to excellence is second to none.

Well I am sure you will be happy with your JB Custom.

I have one on order as well. No clue what is going to look like. I asked John to incorporate an eagle and the name Benfica on it.

I'm on the list and have sent a deposit in...John said we'd start the design around the 30th...a 2x4 secure tube in a Celtic theme to fit 58" to 60" cues...I'm real excited about it!!! John's work is impeccable...

Good news for everyone the King of the Cue Case Makers, is Taking Orders, again, and he and his team are working Six Days a Week building Custom Cue Cases to order.:wave2:

I'm working with John on a case.
It is a work in progress and at this moment it is anyones guess what it will end up being.
I have NO doubt that John will produce something that I love.

You all will be first to see it.

We were working on a case but he stopped answering my emails. I have no idea what happened.

As I remember it from May/June of this year: twice I asked for a preliminary photo or drawing of the proposed artwork and how much deposit he wanted and never heard back.

I'm in a similar situation with my order. I haven't heard back since I sent John my sketches...

I've just started the process. John is making me a case very similar to Chris' case. I just love the color and how simple yet functional it is. It's going to be a 3 x 5 with the individual pvc tubing.
I know there has been a lot of talk about John being banned and I'm really not sure of the details. All I know is he has been the nicest person to work with so far. He has gone far and beyond to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. He is a thorough guy. The little details are important to him and I love that. I would highly recommend John to build your case.
I'll post pics when I get it.

If you are working with John you may want to follow back up with him.
He sent out a newsletter yesterday proclaiming e-mail bankrupt and wants to re-establish relationships with customers who are interested or working on a case.
I'm committed to getting a case from John and in turn am willing to keep in touch.
Everyone is different but I wouldn't wait for John to get back to you or you might drop off his radar.

I am also comitted 100% to getting a case from John. I'm in no hurry, and I want John and company to take their time on making my case. I also don't think anyone is going to drop off John's radar. It's actually a small blessing for me that I haven't gotten my case yet....I have had too many pool related expenses lately...

I also received the same email. I have tried establishing contacts many times over this past year. I got an initial reply and then not much after that. I replied to the email also hoping to get a response and still nothing. I even pm'd "KAREN" with no luck. I have a JB case now and love it but I guess I'm just not meant to have any more:(

After seeing this thread and realizing that I was not the only one, and then getting a newsletter from John, I sent him a final email. He responsed immediately! So... we're back in the process.

It looks to me like he had a serious addiction to azbilliards that was causing him some very real dysfunction in his life.

That's to be excused, since he's now abstaining from the offending substance. :groucho:
