Who here has never ever E-V-E-R played league pool.....

I've never played league. Never felt the need to because it more than likely wont help my game and the time spent in league could be more productively spent playing pool in other venues.

The only way I would play in a league would be if I ever ended up in a town or area where the ONLY competition was league.

I can live with this. Your post implies that you have a negative opinion of league pool and yet you admit that you have never played in a league. Who wants to hang out with a close-minded, judgmental person?

I never, i do not like handicaps or sandbagging. An i am no team player. But i like the girls that play.. I was in Atlanta the other day. and they had some kinda APA championships. there probably was 500 people in the pool hall and almost everybody had a trophy. I do like the APA. Is the pool halls are making money with it I'm all for it.

Hello Aaron, my name is Pangit...I wonder if Efren never ever E-V-E-R played league pool:confused: It doesn't really matter...we all have our crosses to bear...a skeleton in the closet.

I know it's the Scarlet Letter of Pool...No one really wants to admit it:thumbup:

There are lots of folks here that are sensitive about their league pool...to the point of losing sleep over it.....tread lighting my friend:p
 
I have never played but want to. It's just the closest one is an hour and a half drive from my house.
 
I never have played league also. I haven't because I choose not to have to more than likely put up with the shenanigans on someone else's schedule. I've heard too many horror stories and I get plenty of enjoyment playing pool as I do. I know many people enjoy league and that's cool too. It's a personal decision.
 
Why not play?

Come to Houston, theres plenty of good players in the league and all of the top league players are action guys, play tournaments and have strong games.

You don't like handicaps or sandbagging, but you like the APA?

I've always liked team play. Team success is based (in an equitable system) on COOPERATION, something that is being replaced in human culture by competitive domination and exploitation.
 
I've never played because the closest APA league is over an hour away. I tried to get one started in my town but there are not enough other people interested. Everyone has excuses...
 
There isn't any of the name leagues near me, we do have some very
local type leagues that I have played in and subbed in. I don't think
they can be considered the same as the name ones.
 
No league play for me, either. Nothing against it, but if I have an opportunity to play pool, I prefer 14.1. Not too many leagues (none) for that game in my neck of the woods.
