Who here would love to see efren win the u.s. Open

I'd love to see Efren win and I'd also like to see Bartrum win.

I watched his last match last night and he's playing well enough to win the Open. He looked great, but it's going to be tough to get through this field with so many other great players. I'll be pulling for him to win it all. He's always been my favorite player to watch......

Efren is a great player and always capable of winning anything he enters. Personally I would love to see one of the two from the club where I play win it, Johnny Archer or Shawn Puttnam. Failing that I'd love to see Stevie Moore take the title, the guy is an awesome player and a truely nice guy.

I also have another reson for hoping Shawn or Stevie take the title as well, how could they leave the current US Open winner out of any Mosconi Cup Team? I think either would be great to spend time with in London. Although this would also apply to a lot more players including Chris Bartram, Brandon Shuff and others here.

How about the Hall of Fame inductee?

If a pinoy were to win it, I would go for Bustamante...and as said in my post title, he is being inducted into the Hall of Fame tonight.....how sweet would it be for him to snap of the tournament? Also, he has yet to win the Open.

Its always a pleasure......

you know Effren has been THE CHAMPION.....The Highlander, the 15speed of the planet (there can be only one 15sp everyone else is rated in regards to that one top person)

He's also a peoples champ bc of his humble ways and his humble and poor upbringing.

Its always a wonderful thing when a truly respected individual does take the prizes and championships.......I'd rather see effren win than someone with no character and no respect for the game or its current situation, like some "top" pros that cheat the rack or things or any other number of gaffs and suttle sharks/cheats.

If anyone is going to win I want the one that shows our sport in a good light.

BUT ITS GETTING OLD......EFFREN IS GETTING OLD.......he wont do this forever and then who are we going to have to replace him?

Not his game.....I mean his good character. We need more players out there with the attitude and presence he has, always the professional, always smiling. A REAL AMBASSADOR TO THE GAME....

But yea i dont know who's all playing the open but I'd love to see and EFFREN VS EARL FINAL!!!!! and have it be a nail biter......

Efrem, Francisco Bustamante or Earl Strickland would make me happy (not in any particuar order). They have given me hours of pleasure watching them play and each is good enought to make it happen. Good luck, good rolls, and good shooting to all three.

I would love to see Earl, Fransisco, or Thorsten win it. Efren is a champion, nothing against him.

Personally...Id like to see an american win it, after all it is the US Open.

They are welcome to win ifthey can!!

Personally, that is the most bigoted viewI've ever heard. I'd keep that opinion to myself if I ere you. Narrow minded people think like that..

Right on. Let the best player win regardless of nationality.

Let the best man (or woman) win is my view no matter who it is or where they are from.

But and it's a big but, if people are going to post statements like the above which is a personal attack on someone for their views please at least get it right. The phrase "I would love to see an American win it" is not bigoted, if you don't know what the word means go look it up!

That guy has no room to talk anyway...Almost every thing he posts is saying how much better the pinoys are than the americans.

Good point and statements made about a ceratin country's players being better than another country's could possibly be interpreted as 'bigoted'.

I just find any type of bigotry offensive. I do not find Patriotism offensive supporting your Country, in the right way, should always be seen as a positive thing.

One thing I haven't seen in this thread is that it would be his second time, he won in 1994, I believe.
