In your Opinion, and why. I think my Pick would be Ernie @ Gina Cue, as he has been around a long time, and his work still makes me drool.

Other also have artistic points, by Ernie as I said is a Senior Statesman of Cue Building....;)

I am uncertain that a post like can ever amount to anything, but I am also certain that the out come will be interesting. I can state though, as a fact that Ernie has currently been making cues longer than any other living cue maker in this Country, so that must count for something.

I think he was out of the cue business for many years before starting up again. I would say Bill Stroud and Danny Janes may be the longest in the business full time or maybe Burt Schrager or Bob Meucci

He may have been out of the Business for a time, however he still has been in the cue business longer than any other living cue maker. The next cue maker in line would be Tad.

personally I'd pick scruggs, hercek, searing, showman, and think richard harris makes a great cue.

Bill Schick, Hands down in my book. look at some of his work, his cues are awesome and play great, what more do you want!! IMO
Also I have to mention, B. Szamboti, his cues speak for themselves.

It got to be Dieckman, since he built not only pool cues, but also the best masse cues on this earth, not to mention his carom cues!!!!!!!!

Goota admit, i considered Richard Black and Tim Scruggs when I chose Paul Mottey as the best. The turth is, it's just about a three-way dead heat in my estimation.

Paul Mottey, Tim Scruggs, Bill Stroud, Tascarella, B. Szamboti
In no particular order / couldn't name just one.

This thread should have been broken down into 2 groups...
Greatest using aid of computer...
Which would be Ernie hands down...

Greatest without aid of computer..
Then B. Szamboti and Bill Schick would be my picks..

I just think all 3 deserve mention..
