ARM9BALLER said:Similar thread by me was made not too long ago. This thread went in so many directions. Who, what game, what era, in their prime, how many titles they held etc. I'm still saying Efren, but others seem to have their own opinion and that's ok. This world would be boring if everybody agreed, on everything.

Efren is great, but Mosconi was God. Here's my .02 worth:Celtic said:Pure skill with a cue, I will take Mosconi, I have seen him at about 60 years old, post stroke, run a 45 on tight pockets like it was easy as pie. He then just quit the run, did not miss to end it. He was a phenom, the world has not had anyone dominate pool like he did since.

What's really sad is that most casual pool fans have probably never even heard of him and/or couldn't identify him in a photo. Efren's an awesome player and great for the game, and the knowledgeable fans love him. But someone like Allison Fisher or Jeannette Lee is probably much more recognizable to the general public.Renegade said:hmmm...there seems to be fewer dissenters this time around....maybe they've gotten tired of this oft-asked question. or maybe, there's just no denying the man's skill and talent. everyone knows it, the top pros know it, now if only those with strong biases just look at it objectively then i'm sure they'll see the light.....efren's the best thing to happen to pool!

But then again.....has efren dominated men's pool as much as allison fisher has women's pool?
