Two guys who I witnessed in California running out on 4" pockets were Max Eberle and Tony Chohan. They were playing sickeningly aggressive shots, making triple-shimmed pockets look like buckets.

Seriously, has anybody here seen a pro-level snooker player play 9-ball on a super-tight table? I wonder if their highly tuned potting ability would become more of an advantage as the pockets get nastier. I would think the answer would be yes, but I wonder if anyone here has seen it.

In a 2008 Mosconi Cup interview, Earl said that his home table had 3 3/4 inch pockets. I know he'd vote for himself if given the opportunity.
And if you told him Archer uses 3 3/4 pockets then Earl would be using 3 1/2.
