A friend of mine has a cue that he would like some information on.

He traded for this cue and was told it was an old Adams cue.
All of the white you see has grain in it like Ivory.
The inlays, joint, and butt plate all have grain.

he would like to know the maker, year made, and model number if you have it. Any pricing on the cue is appreciated too.

Here are the pics:

Congrats to anyone that can accurately name this cue. The pics need some improvement to figure this one out, IMHO.

I don't think the cue is an Adam Cue, however, it is certainly an Import Cue from some where in Asia. The last picture tells the entire story, the weight bolt is what is used in Predators, Mezz, Falcon, and many other import cues. If I had to guess I would say it was a Falcon, the joint and butt material looks like what they call bone ivory that they use for inlays.

Hope this helps

Looks custom, certainly not Adams. The inlays look nearly exactly like the basic templates that come with a Cuesmith inlay machine. The joint is a standard bullet nose 5/16-18 commonly sold by Atlas & the bumper is a common push in bumper sold by Atlas. Pictures are not clear enough to tell if it's ivory or an imitation ivory plastic. It's looks a bunch like the imitation ivory plastic sold by masecraft. It could be a Jocoby, looks a lot like an Olivier, but honestly could be literally any of hundreds of custom builders or numerous production companies. The components are all too generic to put a label on the cue. In generic I don't mean cheap, I mean common amoung any builder. It's a seemingly well built cue using nice materials, but could be anybody's. I know that doesn't narrow it down for you, but I hope it helps. Nice cue. It's better than most old Adams.

edit: I think Craig is correct about a Falcon. The joint ring composition & scaling looks like Falcon.

Because of the piloted joint? What reason. With that much ivory (if it is ivory)? And, if it's not..... what top maker would put that much ivoryesque into one?

Allright, allright. How about Falcon. Seems I've seen some with similar floating points?
