Who is the next great player...

Today, in my neck of the woods, there's two young guns who stand out in my mind: Chris Futrell, a 16-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia, area; and Brandon Shuff, a 22-year-old whose game has taken off in the past year or two.

Both players are talented and will give ANYBODY a run for their money on a field of green. Chris Futrell follows the tournament trail, while keeping his priorities on his education and family. Brandon Shuff is currently a very tough player to beat, AND he hasn't even peaked yet, and he loves getting himself engaged in action.

Both of these young men will be players to watch down the road, IMHO!

LOL. :) Both youngsters have natural talent and are just coming into their game. Chris Futrell is pursuing his education, and at the same time, he competes in as many events as he is able.

Brandon Shuff, on the other hand, was never the same after his FIRST Derby City Classic when he made the trek 2 years ago. Brandon played anybody who would give him a spot when he was up and coming. It didn't matter if it was a road player, a local champion, or Francisco Bustamante. Brandon steps up to the plate and shows no fear. He is improving every day, and he can knock down the best of 'em. Young Brandon is out there on his own, paying his own way, with no family enabler, and he's making it. He plays in every event within his reach, and he's a gentleman gambler, to boot. Nice kid!

John Morra played quite well at this past weekends Limestone Open. It was an $5000 added open tournament held in Kingston, Ontario. John's biggest opponent was Luc Salvas who he beat with a score of 11 - 6. He will be in the future of pool.

Two young players that really impress me are James Baraks and Jesse Bowman - they're shotmaking and intensity/focus are of future champion caliber....I think that they both might have what it takes to follow in Corey and Alex's footsteps.....

.....James Baraks has already opened a lot of eyes with high tournament finishes this past year - Jesse Bowman is keeping a lower profile, I think he wants to stay semi-undercover a while longer ^_^

I second the vote for Baracks.

John Morro .He comes from good genes. I Saw his nice family there from what I was told and saw HIs father played in the pro event and his biological mother is or was a pro.

For an eleven year old, I think Landon's talent, focus, table savy, and judgement are amazing. Barring one of the three liquids or some other unknown getting to him I think he is destined for greatness.
