Who knows The American Cueist magazine?

Many thanks to robertno1pool and Charlie D. I wrote to each of them for additional information inside the AC magazines they posted. Both responded quickly and were very helpful.

Thanks again, Greg

I recently found my extra issues of American Cueist. If anyone would like some of those, I have about 30 available.

Also, I'm missing a lot of the later issues. If you have some you would part with, I'd be happy to buy or trade for them.

I'm reviving this thread in the hope that someone new might drop in. I still need all of 2001 and later except for October and November of 2001.

I have about 40 issues from 2000 and before for trade or sale. I also have full-year sets that are library-bound that are extra: 1994, 1997 and 1999.

Printing history.... I think the last-posted grid of publishing dates above and copied below is correct. Briefly, AC was published monthly starting in December 1992 through September 2002 with the following months missing:
2000 -- Sep., Oct., Dec.
2002 -- March
That is a total of 114 issues. Please speak up if you know of other issues that were printed.

PM sent for a couple of magazine issues I am looking for. Please let me know if you have them available. Thanks

Here are the issues of AC that I have to trade or sell. The Y indicates a full year in library binding. I would be glad to trade for other magazines as well in case you have extras of any.

I had just about every pool magazine published from 88 to mid. 90s and oned day. I found them all half burned in my burning pile. My late wife decided I was done collecting magazines. Magazines dont burn easily and for those wonderring. No I did not kill her. :)

I just got some more copies of American Cueist, and I have some issues available not in the old list above.

I would really like to get the following issues for my collection:

2001 -- Jul Aug Dec
2002 -- any and all issues

I'll be glad to trade two issues of the dups I have for any of those 2001-2002 issues. Or, I'll pay $10 per issue plus shipping.

I had a question about the issues I have extra to trade. Here is my current inventory of extra issues. "Y" indicates a complete calendar year in library binding with gold stamped spine is available besides any individual issues marked. "0" means not available as a single issue, | means one, || means two.

BOB---I JUST BOUGHT A HERCEK CUE THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE ON THE COVER OF THIS MAGAZINE IN 2000 OR 2001--ANYWAY U CAN SEND ME PICTURES OF THE COVERS ON ANY HERCEK CUES SHOWN DURING THESE 2 YEARS ON ISSUES U MAY HAVE?

I have probably the largest billiard magazine collection in the world. I was getting bulk issues for many years. Mostly Pool and Billiard and Billiard Digest. I wrote many articles for the Texas Billiard News and the American Cueist.

But before getting your hopes up, most are boxed up in a mountainous pile right close to many more piles of billiard paraphernalia that has been accumulating for decades.

At first glance, I failed to see any TBNs or ACs that would be easily accessible. This weekend I will try to get a closer look and see if I have any extras.

Wish me luck.
Do you have the National Tavern News, circa 1980's?

Here is the cover of February, 2000 issue of American Cueist. Those are Hercek cues with prices from $1800 to $10,000. I have three extra copies.

Jay, I have some issues National Tavern News including one duplicate.

BOB---MY CUE IS THE 2ND ONE GOING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. DO U HAVE EBRUARY 2000 ISSUE AND CAN YOU SELL IT TO ME AND AT WHAT PRICE. THIS WOULD BE HUGE FOR ME TO HAVE THIS WITH MY CUE SINCE JOEL DID NOT PUT HIS NAME ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS BARBELL DESIGN CUE

I found some more old issues and now have a complete extra run from 1992 through 2000 available for sale or trade. I still need these:

2001 -- Jul Aug Dec
2002 -- any and all issues

I'll pay $15 plus shipping for magazines in that range or trade older issues 4:1 to get the ones I don't have. Anyone?

How much for each, pack of 5, 10? Looking to just add some old stuff to casually read, nothing special.

Less than quantity 10 they are $4 each plus shipping. 10 or more issues, 15% discount. For more than a few issues of magazines, the cheapest way to ship them is by flat-rate USPS Priority at $15.50, and the box holds about 30 magazines.

I have a few slightly water-wrinkled/stained issues that you can have for $1 each plus shipping. They are fine for reading but not suitable if you're a collector. They'll also give you an idea of what that magazine was like.
