Who Really is the BEST Pool Hustler in the Country?

I'm sure Scooter has a "ventured capitalist" around somewhere

$20k is not that large of a bet, I watched John play for 10k a game a few months ago. Don't get me wrong, I can probably give John the "6 Ball," he's never been a top player, his claim to fame has always been on the gambling/matching up side of being a Road Player.

If "the best hustler in the country" can't get 20k then that's a forfeit in my opinion. Part of being a great Road Player/Gambler is the ability to raise capital.....I'm sure Scooter has a "venture capitalist" around somewhere that has faith in him.....at least I'd hope so.

Show alludes to 2,500.00 dollar bank roll.
And you want to 8bet them?20,000.00
The game is funny sometimes!

The best pool hustler in the country?
....nobody knows him.
He might be the guy who took all your cash last night....
...and you have absolutely no respect for him...
.....you probably think you can give him serious weight....
.......if only you had some money left.

FAMOUS pool hustler is a contradiction in terms.

RIGHT ON THE NOSE.Johnnyt

I don't see why it wouldn't happen, it's exactly what every "pool hustler" dreams of.....a chance to turn 20k into 40, 60, or even 100k.

You know this is real, it would happen at Tommy's place there in Indy.....BRICKYARD BILLIARDS, one of the finest "huster spots" in the country......and Scooter knows there's a LOT of money to be won.......IF he can win.

I'm sure John will let me give them a handicap "they can't refuse"......or they can play anyone in our crew they can match a game up with.

Curious who are the guys in your crew. And is that offer limited to scooter and his crew, or can someone else put together a crew and get that same offer?

You are absolutely correct! However the real hustler is the one holding all the purse money, who heads for the bathroom, never to return. That's Chicago style!

You can't be "the best" unless you beat the best.

Strong Arm and I have never turned down an opportunity to match up games. Scooter has made the claim that he's the best, that's the only reason we made the challenge. You can't be "the best" unless you beat the best.

We are both 20-30 years past our prime, but we'll still give the younger players the opportunity to win 200 of those sweet, delicious, C-Notes.....we don't play for quarters. ;)

Things have changed with social media, camera phones and the internet forums..

No one did know us for many years. We left nothing but "tombstones" when we left pool rooms.

Pool hustling in it's purest form isn't happening in this day and age. Things have changed with social media, camera phones and the internet forums.....no one can go unnoticed for long if they're winning major scores.

So I'm not exactly sure you answered the question as to who is in your crew or if the offer was strickly for scooter. But I am assuming you are stating that its you and john in your crew and that you are claiming that you guys are the best hustlers in the country. Is that an accurate assessment?

CJ:

I have to say, when I read this, I went through the following thought pattern:

1. "Hmm... someone doesn't like that fact that someone else is getting the 'TV limelight' and is trying to shoehorn in on the 'I want my MTV' action."

Thought about it, and then went to:

2. "Those young whipper-snappers don't hold a candle to the action heroes of old." (In other words, a variation on the "I once caught a fish t-h-i-s big..." theme.)

Then, it went to this:

3. "Wait a cotton-pickin' minute -- how can this be bad? It's actually driving MORE action and publicity to the event!"

And man, would I love to watch this, too! :thumbup2:

Dippy Dave Peat Vs. Scooter! Would be great. The wagering wouldn't be on pool, but on how many days the woofing would take before they actually would play:p

We don't "woof" and mess around, we either gamble or move on.

I'm sure you can go to BRICKYARD BILLIARDS anytime and get $20,000 of action from John, Bobby, Tommy, George, Jeanette, etc.

You can PM me if you want to match up a game, I'll call John, get a line on you (or your players) and make you an offer.....then you decide if it's a good game for you or not.

We don't "woof" and mess around, we either gamble or move on (to someone that will).

Right you are! The best pool hustler is a guy that comes in, just in town for a week or two he says, job, family, whatever. A good chance he doesn't hit a ball the first night. When he plays it will be with a regular about two-thirds of the way up the ladder. He may win a little or lose a little but it will be close.

Before he leaves town he will be talked into a game for a far bigger bet than he has any business making with a spot he doesn't have a chance to win at. He'll get the rolls though, a few lucky shots maybe, and he will take down the cheese. He will have said he was leaving town before this score happened but will probably be back this way again. When he leaves it will be on friendly terms and he can pass back through again before too long and collect another decent but not monster score.

You can milk a cow for years, you can only butcher it once!

we Road Players have our own set of policies and procedures.

Yeah, that's what I would consider a typcial reaction to something like this.

I am already under contract on another TV project, we're negotiating with some major networks and it just takes time......the "hurry up and wait" is in full effect. ;)

The fact is Strong Arm John is the best I've ever seen at creating action, and stirring up excitement in any pool room....ask someone in Olathe Kansas, St. Louis, Indy, etc and they'll tell you he creates more action than anyone on earth.....and sometimes even wins. ;)

I called John earlier and told him what Scooter was claiming, he laughed and said we'd "bust him in a manner of hours"......he then gave me the "green light" to create this thread and "get the game on" in Indy for a minimum of 20k.

There's no trickery going on, this is a legitimate challenge, and we will play in a professional manner.....even we Road Players have our own set of policies and procedures.

I wasn't saying I wanted to play I was just curious if ur offer was juat directed at scooter. Because im sure that there is players that would take you up on that offer if had the opportunity, .But roadplayer would actually mean you need to go on the road, and what ur saying is your part of going on the road is driving a mile from ur house to your local poolroom. Lol im not woofing im just messing with you. But just for giggles if you can get a line on me and offer me a good game I will take a shot at coming up there. Just pm me if you come up with something. Oh I also have a female player thst plays pretty good . You can ask Jeanette about her she will know who im talking about. So figure out a game and lwt me know what you come up with

Woofing 21st century style, this is the aspect of pool that drew me into the game. I am getting entertained already and no one has hit a ball or made a bet. Action pool is far more entertaining than tournaments.

I would recommend you find easier action than us to get started

There are very few players that don't know they can get action anytime from us in Indianapolis. We've been around the country, gambling at pool for over 30 years.

And no, you're not a "Road Player" if you just drive to you local pool room. That would be like calling a guy that hammers one nail a carpenter.

I would recommend you find easier action than us, we truly are the "big league" of Road Players and have made significant scores {through the game} over the years. I'm not interesting in deceiving anyone, that's why this thread is directed at only those that think they are "the best"...... the "best" never rest, and will put you to the test.

Well you havnt made an offer yet as to how you would play me or the female. So im not 100% there is easier action yet, for all I know you might make a game I cant refuse and cant lose. Who knows its happened many of times . So just ask john / jeanette how you and I or me and one of them can match up or figure out how you would match up with the girl..and let me know what you come up with and if there is easier action than what you offer then I will decline your offer.

FYI - you do "real eyes" you're posting anonymously don't you?

There will be no "offer," that's not how it works, you'll actually have to show up in Indy and negotiate the game with John yourself.....and bring "the girl" with you if you like.

I guess you'll just have to believe me on this one......there is easier action....much easier.

Ok I believe you. I was actually just messing with you the whole time. Lol. I would never qanna come there and actually show my speed. Lmao

So you robbed people and you are proud of it?
Please help me understand how gambling is not a case of the strong taking advantage of the weak.
To me this is pure math. For a match to be fair, it has to be played in a way that as close as possible to 50/50 odds.
From what i gather, you go into a match knowing you have a huge advantage over your opponent.
Now with social media, forums and all you are complaining that it's harder to fool people.
In other words it's harder to pray on unsuspecting victims..
If you're so good, turn the odds in favour of your opponent by a large margin and prove that you can beat the odds.
