Who wanted an Inexspensive LAMBROS ???

This looks like a fake lambros to me. The logo is different and also the shaft and butt joint have slight curve which is missing in this cue.

You can make comparison with my cue

If I remember correctly, these were made in the Lambros shop by his apprentices. They are not fakes. The concept was similar to the "Carmeli Shop" cues, but more evolved.

And what do you say about the logo?

The logo is their own. It was a semi-independent, more affordable offshoot of Lambros cues. That's what I meant bt more evolved than the "Carmeli Shop" cues. You can call BilliardWarehouse if you don't believe me. They used to sell them.

Monto, we don't need pics of your cue (that you happen to be selling) to know that this is NOT a fake.

The "Masterpiece" line by Mike was very similar in concept to the Samsara Bar Cue Line. Lower end, more affordable, different logo, nothing fancy, different joint, ring work, etc., etc.

Perhaps you should edit your totally inaccurate post?

Joint?

I am probably wrong but was under the impression that his master piece line of cues had a flat faced joint and not the ultra joint. If that is indeed an ultra joint. Greg at www.billiardwarehouse.com would know for sure though.

I had the pleasure of having several of the Lambros "Masterpiece" cues. As Von and the others have accurately stated, they were made IN the Lambros shop, UNDER the supervision of Mike Lambros, but not BY Lambros. Several models were offerred...basic cues in different woods.

They were made to offer a high quality cue for a fraction of the cost of the Lambros custom. They were made by Lambros' apprentices. The joint was a standard 3/8x10 flat-faced joint, not an Ultra-joint of any kind.

The logo is not meant to be interpreted as a Lambros cue, it is "MC" for "Masterpiece Cues".

They were meant to serve a purpose similar to the Samsara Bar Cue, but the concept did not work out. They are no longer available. They are NOT Lambros Custom Cues.

It doesn't matter what anyone advertises them as, they were made in Lambros' shop, but NOT by Lambros. These sort of issues are one of the main reasons why top-notch cuemakers are reluctant to put out simpler "models" of cues from their shop instead of all custom work.

From TheBilliardWarehouse: http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cueobsessions/masterpiece/masterpiece_cues.htm

Masterpiece cues are the ideal player's cues because they offer tremendous playability for the price! These cues are made in the shop of Mike Lambros by Lambros' well trained apprentices. These cues are built with Lambros' machines using Lambros' exceptional cue building techniques. These cues feature a unique 3/8 x 10 piloted wood to wood joint. The hit is very solid and sensitive. These cues have most of the playability of the Lambros cue at a fraction of the price. If you are looking for high end playability at an affordable price, you've found your cue!

well then technically it's not a Lambros........but it's not a fake ...BW was the only palce i had seem them new
be a nice player I bet

You are right on all counts, Andy...definitely NOT a fake. They were very, very good cues for the money. BW was the "exclusive" dealer for the Masterpiece line.

I dont care what you need or not. I did not have any knowledge about the masterpiece series of lambros cues. Me showing my pics was just so people can compare the logo and the taper on the joint. Neither i am buying or sellig any cue on this thread. I just found something doubtful so as a responsible az member posted so that people dont get screwd.

This is new information for me. I just said i think it might be a fake. I did not give any judgement on it.

Thanks

Sorry AZ'rs this is an original LAMBROS SNEAKY PETE w/ a ld shaft that was just made. Glad there are so many experts on LAMBROS CUES. This is my logo since 2006'.

Per the original post, that is not what is being offered in this thread. It is a Masterpiece....
