Sneaky Pete, Bull Moose Jackson {King} 1948.
Same guy that sang Big Ten Inch, {record of the blues} made famous by Steven Tyler and Aerosmith.
The original was a fruit juice and cheap alcohol drink. Perhaps wood grain alcohol
It looked harmless but was volatile!
The earliest 2 piece bar cues I remember were made by a guy named Toby Trees here in Ohio, that was in the late 70s early eighties I think, anyone remember any before that?
I don't remember calling them by any name though.

That is a pretty good explanation...a potent drink that looks harmless.
Thanx, I'm going with that.

Late 70s...many still called them 'bar-hustler' cues...but some were already using the term Sneaky Pete.
....they didn't really serve their purpose in the action days...if somebody was using one.......you just knew he could play.
They only fooled the guys who would've been beaten by a house cue anyways.

No one has mentioned him but when I saw the original question I thought it was asking about the guy who called himself "Sneaky Pete" and dressed like a clown. He did pool exhibitions back in the 80's. I remember one of his cues would explode and smoke would come out the end. I just tried to find something on hm and could not find anything. Anyone else remember him?

Uh, oh. Here we go.
I once saw a horse and a house fly, together. :D

speaking of horses and flies.......with the economy down and oil and gas not doing so hot i've expanded my money making opportunities.

Started doing some tables locally, been doing more duck calls, cues, knife sharpners......it just wasnt' enough tho.

I figured that I love the birds bees and all the trees, and heck every one loves some sweets......so i had an idea, traffic some bees, enslave them and make some honey.

Well I got this beautiful ***** of a queen in the mail. Put her out there, set it all up......couple months go by I come to find the whore ran off with a horsefly.....now all the honey tastes like horse chit.....

guess i'll just have to make myself a sneaky and go back to hustling bars.....
