Who was the best pool player you ever played in your pool career?

felt pressure, try the Mosconi Cup sometime, it's another level of intensity.

Wow!
You even played a member of the Mosconi Cup team USA. Great!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Brandon did great, and I'm sure he will be on another team in the near future. All these players played their hearts out in front of the "best pool crowd in the world".....if you think you've felt pressure, try the Mosconi Cup sometime, it's another level of intensity. 'The Game is the Teacher'

PS - Mike D's head was the perfect size at the Mosconi Cup....this photo was NOT tampered with ;)

Gary Abood in Manchester NH where he started playing pool when we were kids, now a well known road player.

Strickland, Archer, Soquet, Nevel, Hohman, Daulton,Schmit, Hennessee, Stevie Moore, T. Kennedy, Brumback, etc. I guess you could say Johnny, Earl, or Ralf are the best on this list, but they're all great players.

Updated to show SVB, I drew him at this years(2015) Derby. Put a scare in him for half a set and then he brought out his 'A game'.

Hi, Lock! I played Nick Varner some years back. Got killed, of course, but it may well be the best all around player ANYONE has ever played. Love your posts-keep it up!

Name the person that you think is the best pool player you have ever played in your time playing pool from the beginning of your pool playing days? Thank you for your input.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

A street hooker in Jacksonville, NC. She beat me.

Played SVB a bunch of years ago at the Windy City. I missed one ball and lost either 7-5 or 5-3, I can't remember the race...

Having the luxury of growing up in New Mexico, had plenty of opportunities to play Jimmie Moore, and played him whenever I could,
but the most talented player I have played had to have been Keith McCready...gave me plenty of weight and I enjoyed giving all my money to him.

Not that i played with, but Bill Incordona and Grady!! Maybe not very top pros, but lots of knowledge they shared it with lots of people during their commentary. Sad to loose Grady, long live Billy..

The Black Widow, Jeanette Lee. I played her 3 games in Rochester,NY when I was 21. She got 1 kick-shot and made nothing. I'm now almost 36.

Too many

I scratched on the 9 in the us open to go hill hill with Nick Varner, lost toBUDDY(MY FAVORITE9-BALLER EVER)Larry Hubbart in 70s 80s bar table Mr. Matlock.

My best player

My best player - the real Tennessee Joe - Joe Bowman from Johnson City, Tn. He made many a believer travelling thru the 60's and 70's,
Wayne Agnew

SVB, in 1990 at the SD State 8 Ball tournament. I was his first opponent in this event and won 2-0 or 3-0. He was scolded afterwards for not playing safe in one game.

There was an audience for the match. In the corner of the Huron Arena, allowing good views from the upper level.

It would be so nice if you ever answered your own questions.

You know we're not just here for your own personal entertaiment.

You could actually make a contribution you know. ;)

Wonder what he is doing with all this information? Im sure he isnt just wasting out time.

Paul Thornley pool - I was lucky to match up with him in a handicapped tournament about eight years ago, he had to give me the seven and the eight and a couple of games. I made the nine on the break in the first two games (nervousness seemed to be helping my break) and I still lost.

Gary Natale snooker - made it look so easy
