We have Sky, Shane, Billy, and Tyler so far. Who will No. 5 be?

I don't know if he can but I would love to see Justin B on there with this team.

Many people feel this way. He had such a good showing at the International 9-Ball Open.

I thought "wildcard pick" means they can pick whoever they want. Wildcard means anybody can be chosen. It is not restricted to a small group. At least that's the way I have always understood it.

If this is true, then Justin should be in the running. ;)

Johan Ruijsink, the Team USA Coach, just gave an interview on FB about this topic. Marty Herman recorded it.

Cliff's notes for those that don't have FB? Was the topic the 5th member, the wildcard process, or JBerg.?

About who Johan was hanging around and listening to at the International Open, for starters, but it's Marty's observation and opinion, one must remember.

Some lady who didn't have her glasses on and seemed to be pro Europe. I'm not sure who he was talking about. I came to the live stream late.

There aren't any wildcard picks like there are for Europe. They had a large list, narrowed it, and are narrowing it further. They're not using tournament points for USA this year, so there are no locks on points and no wildcards.

Justin took himself out of the running early on, and Corey was cut. Even Shane had taken himself out, but they had a press conference and made a big deal out of putting him back in. They never did that for Justin or Corey.

Well that cleared it up!

BTW, I hope you find the time to post more often. You are good for this site and your stories and anecdotes are awesome.

Shane McMinn.

I like Corey, but it's time for some new blood. I think Shane deserves a shot.
Donnie would be my 2nd choice.

I believe Donnie Mills opted out, but he'd have been my choice. Bergman is also not in the running.

I'd prefer Corey Deuel to either Shane McMinn or Mitch Ellerman.

Who will Johan pick? No idea. Good question.
