Now Pat is introducing the fourth and biggest event
in the "Make It Happen Series"
The Accu-Stats “Make It Happen” All-Star Invitational


This “Make It Happen” event will invite top finishers of the previous three "Make It Happen" events.


Shane Van Boening won the 1-Pocket Invitational.
Thorsten Hohmann won the Straight Pool Invitational.
Alex Pagulayan won the 8-Ball Invitational but is not available so we will be featuring the 2nd place finisher Darren Appleton.

The fourth contestant will be voted on by supporters who, as in the past, purchase a package to “Make It Happen”.

The response to the first three events was exceptional and the All-Star event should cap it off as the best event yet.

Wow that's awesome. Those are my 3 favorite players. Definitely will be buying at least some portion of this ppv.

Should be very very interesting.... Shane will be the weakest in 14.1 and I think Thorsten will be weakest in 1-pocket... Right now I am picking Daz but the dark horse 4th could come in and take this if it was say Dennis or Efren....

I'm hoping there may be an added feature for the people who attend in person... It won't be free but it will be a huge opportunity... Ed Liddawi is reaching out to Thorsten to see if he may have time in his schedule to do a clinic the day after the event...

How cool would that be?? You come out to watch world class matches between 4 of the best in the world and then you get the opportunity to take a lesson from Toastie!!

Not saying it's 100% just that there is a chance.... Hoping Ed get's the logistics worked out...

Wonder how many others out there who will be there in person would be interested in the clinic?

I have no problem with quality PPV and selling DVDs, etc.

But I've never much liked the idea of paying for a right to vote...
 
Save my spot! I'll be there, like I have been for all the Make it Happen events. :) I'd like to see Efren as the 4th as well.

Think of it this way: the event only happens if a critical mass of people pre-pay for one of these packages. They are in effect the event sponsors. The players invited to the event are then selected by a vote of the sponsors.

The only difference between this and a traditional invite-only event is that the sponsors are more diffuse.

I still think that allowing people to vote without paying would generate more interest and obviously many more votes.

When you sell votes, you are allowing only those with money to participate in what would otherwise be a democratic process of finding out who people want to watch play pool...

...and there are lots of potential and current player/viewers who can't afford PPV. Should we discourage them from taking part in any way?

I called Pat a while back about contributing and got the generic "do you want to particpate" letter but haven't gotten a ballot or anything. This is the first event I'm contributing to and don't know the timeline. Have other people gotten ballots? Should I call Pat and check on it?
