150-114 svb. final.
The funny thing is, no ones ever going to know what was really bet on this match, but the rumors were sure going around! I think a lot of people bet on the opponent just because they'd like to see Shane lose, so they don't have to accept the fact that he's the best player America has to offer!!

When Shane was down against Dennis he started slamming balls on the table while racking. I imagine he was angering himself into gear. I wonder if he’s heading down a similar road as Earl? I’m not there for the Sky match so I suppose it’s a bit unfair of me to speculate.
I wonder why some people just presume to know whats going through someone else's mind, but guessing to know is ok.

Damn, you sound like a true nuthugger .

You don't have to bet to deny Shane is the best player . You just have to wait for the outcome .

Now you know why Shane has such a short friends list😅

Another negative post to introduce yourself to a thread. Someone should count all of your negative posts against your positive posts and let's see what the numbers show, but my over/under would be 95% negative.

Now, before you get all butthurt and start sending me PM's, I will finally answer the question you will inevitably ask after your childish meltdown and multiple count tirade of post's - "what have you done for pool".

Here's the top three things I feel I've done for pool, and I'll start from the bottom.

#3: I started a FaceBook group for our local area (FB: Treasure Valley Pool) that now has more than 800 active members. Most of them from the Pacific NW, which plays into number 2, which is going to be a long one.

#3 Bonus: The FB group associated with #2 below has close to 300 members, for a total of well over 1,000 active members - how many groups have you created that compare?

#2: I helped some friends start a local pool league with an initial prediction of 40-50 members but ended up with an initial enrollment of 81 active members and a current count of over 128 active members. Those members have flooded the local pool halls with so much busines that some of the halls have asked the league members to call ahead and schedule their matches to ensure a table is available. One local hall was working on incorporating the league scheduling into their website, another offered free pool for league matches, and yet another actually had their tables rebuilt and refelted for them (they may have actually purchased diamonds, but I can't remember) because of the added business - just after Covid to boot. All told, the first quarter had well over 300 matches played which encompassed over 4400 games (average that to 2 hours per match and it's 600 hours of customer time and money for local businesses). These matches were played in various pool halls/bars, and has brought thousands of dollars of businesses to local proprietors who had been struggling to survive. Oh, and shortly after 30 days of the first match they had the largest money added tournament our valley has ever seen. The beauty of it all is this boosts the overall image of our sport in the local area because they require a certain level of billiards etiqitue to be observed and they support the little guy, whether that's a business or a lower skilled level player. Clearly, in the pool world there are terminal rats (link below for those not in the know) like you, that habitually turn good things into bad things and any pool league experiences those situations but all of that is background noise compared to the lower level players that brag their FargoRate has increased 50 points because of this league...hint, my #1 thing will expand on that.

Terminal Rat -

Keeping to the league theme though: I am currently developing software to automate their process which will help them ultimately bring it to a national level which will involve state teams competing against each other as well as a larger, national level, annual tournement. As of right now there are up to 10 additional areas interested with an added 500+ members that could possibly come aboard, and that's just Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana ;)

#2 bonuses: They have Tanner Pruess coming to Boise to put on a weekend clinic and they are/were working on having John Schmidt come to Boise to view his high run in straight pool. (disclaimer: I know they had it scheduled at one point but it fell through and they had it scheduled again but not sure if/when that did/was supposed to happen). Stuff like that builds excitement and continues to bring new players to the sport.

#1 The number one thing I've done for pool is...the smile I have created from the lower skilled level players when I helped them understand banks, combos, or the tangent line. I have been playing this game for a long time and feel I have knowledge to share (similar to you, respect earned is respect due) so I share it whenever possible. This includes my own opponents (yes, I have actually helped lower level players win games against me (and my own son, he wasn't so excited) because they were at a point of learning and were looking for advice so I offered it, and they were happy about it).

Honorable mention: Getting my son into pool and winning the session MVP award with him ;)

And the final bonus of the things I've done for pool...

I've shut you up on more than one occasion ;)

P.S. Since I've spent an unwarranted amount of time on responding to your drivel I may be tired and grumpy tomorrow and probably won't be so nice ;)

You really have to ask yourself, why are they playing on a 7ft, and who's idea was it.

you could probably start an argument with yourself, and i'm not sure you'd win

And just who do you think delivered and set up most of all those Diamonds you're so proud to mention your LEAGUE players are enjoying playing on? Matter of fact, who turned Diamond around to be the in demand table they are today, Worldwide??

You and a few others here belong to the nutcracker association, because all you do with your negative posts is run people off. While you're patting yourself on the back, what positive things have you brought to AZB?

Mike, Shane's uncle was laughing at all the fools betting against Shane as he covered as many bets as could, requardless of how much someone wanted to bet, because it was like taking candy from a baby, we spent a lot of time talking about this match and never failed to get a laugh from the conversations😆

I thought it made sense. Sky was always touted as a bar box specialist. He had no problem proving to everyone that he could play on the big table but people still considered him the best on a 7’. So after he beat Dennis on a 7’ everyone was feeling pretty good about seeing him try Shane on it. Apparently SVB was feeling real sweet on the idea too. 😉

How many big 7ft events has Shane won vs Sky? That should have told everyone something!!

And there's a reason why Dennis don't play Shane 10B on ANY size table, which does not translate into Sky beating Dennis on a 7ft, playing 10B into being able to beat Shane in the same format.
