Who Wins the Derby City Classic All-Around?

Just curious as to what you-all DCC followers think. Who gets the prize this year?

I'm pulling for Efren, but Dennis has to be the strong favorite to take it down.

Anybody know how much higher Efren needs to finish than Orcollo in 9-ball? He barely broke the top 30 in banks, whereas Dennis took 5th I think in 1p. It's hard to imagine Dennis not making the top 10 in 9-ball.

The front runners have to be these three in this order in my opinion.

D. Orcullo
F. Bustamante
E. Reyes

I will be pulling for Reyes, but I would be betting on orcullo. Anyway you look at it, the Pinoy's are performing strong as usual.

If Busty beats Dennis in the finals of the 9-ball, they'd be tied for overall with a win, runner-up, and a 4th place tie. I don't know what the tie breaker would be.

What he said (not that I've confirmed it, but Freddie is on it). IMO Dennis is a super strong fave, and Busty has an outside chance. I don't know that anyone else has a realistic chance unless Dennis and Busty get food poisoning or get run over by a rikshaw in southern Indiana.

I'm pulling for Busty! I've always loved his game.

Efren just beat Francisco in the 7th round, so that eliminates Busty's chances considering that Orcullo is still undefeated.

I think it's pretty much a lock that Orcullo will win the All-Around. Though, I think it's still mathematically possible that Efren could still win. Efren would have to win the 9-ball and Orcullo must lose as soon as possible. The way Orcullo has been playing, I don't see that happening.

How does the math work in calculating the all around? With Efren and Dennis each having a win, could Efren win the nine ball and not get the all around?

I'm not exactly sure. If Orcullo is runner up, then I think Orcullo would still win. Orcullo would have a 1st, 5th, and 2nd place, while Efren would have a 42nd, 1st, and 1st. I'm not sure how low Orcullo would have to finish for Efren to win it, but he's guaranteed a 13th place in 9-ball (according to my calculations, considering he still has a buy back).

The nine ball is down to 12 players, with 3 still undefeated. Dennis, Efren and Ruslan Chinahov. So looks like Dennis might be a lock on the all around.

Niels Feijen has handed Efren his first defeat. Dennis forced to buy back by John Morra as well.
