Hi Chris;
No need to guess, I'll lay it out for you.
AZ member, "vanthonyv" sold this cue here on az, approx 2 weeks ago to Tedzap. Unfortunately, "vanthonyv" also sold this cue to me.
Within minutes of him posting the cue for sale, I pm'd him and posted to the thread that "I'll take it".
One minute before my posting to the thread, Ted posted "pm sent". There was no way for me to know if Ted or I were the first one to have a deal with the op but he, vanthonyv, responded to my pm giving me the green light and his paypal info to proceed. I paid right away and it was maybe in the next day or so that I noticed Tedzap had posted to the thread that he was looking forward to receiving the cue.
I pm'ed and emailed "vanthonyv" stating that while I certainly wanted the cue, I did not want any hard feelings with anyone over this and to please advise me on what's going on.
He had not responded and it was close to a week so I opened a dispute with paypal and I contacted Tedzap to see what he knew. He said he received the cue and was sorry to hear what "vanthonyv" had done.
I told Ted that I was frustrated over having ordered an unfinished 30" Predator shaft that I was going to have Paul Drexler match the ringwork on; oh well. :embarrassed2:
Within minutes of my sharing this with Ted, I saw that he posted this thread asking who would be the best person to match the ringwork. I simply thought this was not in good taste, right on the heels of our conversation.
In our pm's, I assured Ted that, in no way, do I think he did anything wrong regarding the transaction. How could I? With him and me, there are no hard feelings.
Ted was kind enough to provide me with the phone number he had for the seller, Anthony Vagnoni, and I got to speak with him about all this. He said he was sorry about selling the cue to both Ted and I and promised to refund my paypal payment right away which he has not done. It's been two days since we spoke.
I've tried calling him a couple more times and apparently he's trying to duck me. I'm not worrying about it because I know I'll be getting reimbursed but, once again, a hassle with an azb transaction.
In doing a quick bit of research on him, I see that Anthony has changed accounts after having another problem transaction over a Sledgehammer cue he sold. He received negative itrader over that on his previous az account, "Tony Semper".
I'll be posting a seperate thread about this transaction soon if no refund (voluntary) is given.
Tread carefully on all of your az dealings, unless you are doing biz with a well known, highly regarded, member.
Guess no more - you now have the full story.
Best,
Brian kc
Thanks for clearing that up.
Selling the same item to 2 different people is fraud.
VanthonyV better save up some money for bail or refund you immediately.
I've copied him on this thread.
